I mean, come on, this is electronic sports and people are being tricked out of salaries, prizemoney and opportunities on a regular basis. Good examples to this letter is Paul Estevez the original NoA manager that still is in the red with me for $4,500 in unpaid salary from the LA stint in 2003. Other examples are every organization that "worked" on the CPL Tour 2005 without paying out prize money- namely Turkey, Gamefrontier (UK) and LAN-Z (Chile) – I chased after those people all over the world without success - Thank you for showing us what esport should NOT be about!
B – Andreas “bds” Thorstensson
Everyone goes on and on about SK Gaming, Geekboys etc but all I wanna know is where did that boyband-looking hair go after CPL summer `02?!
"Where else is $1,000,000 offered in cash prizes to players that already are contracted professionals?"
C - CGSI might be biased – however, the only way to play into the critics and avoid crowning the CGS the greatest thing since frozen pizza is to be able to answer any of these questions truthfully:
Where else is $1,000,000 offered in cash prizes to players that already are contracted professionals? (Outside of what we call “Real sports”?)
…and where are those prizes paid out to ALL of the players within 10 days of the event?
D – David Olander (Berlin Allianz player)
Look at him! Wouldn’t you want him to marry your daughter?
E - Esports
Despite immaturity, corrupt, stupid organizers and strange picks for tournament games we're bound to see electronic sports explode. The sheer size of the community world-wide as well as the emphasis on digital entertainment in our age and time is just so overwhelming that the sport’s developement can only be thwarted by a third world war that will shift society’s focus from entertainment to - well, violence.
F – Fall from grace
The death of the CPL – the number of ways this once proud organization was in the wrong could – and probably will fill a book some day as they live on in infamy.
G – Martin “guddo” Cording, of NoA / mTw
Next time it’s on you in the bar my friend.
H – Hope
THE word that for me defines what’s great about our sport. We don’t think about it enough but it is really our (as in esports’) biggest advantage that fans can directly interact with players on IRC, MSN etc – that gives they "young ones" hope that they can one day become starts and there is something poetic and beautiful about that.
That hope and the aspiration that comes with it needs to be nurtured for our sport to keep growing and we, the people that are involved with teams, are not good enough at doing that – yet.
"There is no “I” in “team.”"
I - “I”There is no “I” in “team,” people.
J - Tore "Juzam" Aronsen
The best player I knew that fell to the wrath of WoW-addiction and therefore lost his way. Sad, sad, sad.
K - Kiss ass mentality
To get ahead do not kiss ass. Be so good that people cannot ignore you.
L - Les Seules
Six girls together 24 / 7 for 44 days with cameras all around? What happened with the TV series to follow?
M – MIBR
While Canadians usually excuse themselves on the topic of Bryan Adams I would want him to sing about the “Summer of 03” every day. In a very crazy twist of fate my first professional gaming experience came in Rio de Janeiro living with the crazy Brazilians in 2003. I only wish I would have stayed another six months to avoid them making fun of me for my broken Portuguese.
Oh, and yes there was an epic “reunion” at E-Stars Korea in 2007. The magic was not gone.
"Naikon would still be my first pick for any team on the planet."
N - Lars “Naikon” OlaisenOnce dubbed "The living legend" by a Russian site. The best Norwegian player ever and the player that would still be my first pick for any team on the planet. Very modest and never got the recognition from scene journalists for his abilities. Shame on you!
O - "Openess"
A trait 98% of people involved with gaming and esports should look up in a dictionary. Trust me, along with a little bit of "H" for "honesty" it could solve a lot of the problems with the scene, both from a player perspective as well as from the organizational view. Going mainstream means no more cloak and dagger stuff.
P - Tommy "Potti" Ingemarsson
I think he had more miles in him and was sad to see him quit. While Heaton got most of their spotlight I always felt Potti was a great player and he always kicked my ass around when we faced each other.
"I just can’t understand why it’s interesting to watch cartoonish characters jump around and fire pink stuff at each other."
Q - QuakeI don’t question the skill I just can’t understand why it’s interesting to watch cartoonish characters jump around and fire pink stuff at each other.
R - RAAAAAAKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKA
Esport rock ‘n roll style.
S – Slop3
Videoreporting done right. Now if he could only stop speaking Swenglish so more people can enjoy his features. Also see “R”
T - Tr1p
Corey “tr1p” Dodd got kicked off the most successful team in American history, manned up and got redrafted to Chicago Chimera and won the NA CGS Season as well as the first ever CGS World Final and 500 000 over the course of one year. That’s redemption, grit and perseverance for y’all.
U - Underestimation
Eolithic came to Winter CPL 2002 to collect. They ended up going home after an embarrassing defeat at the hands of North American talent shaguar and Sunman. This episode is perhaps the clearest example of a favored team underestimating an opponent and paying the price in the history of the game.
"There is no other person that has had the impact on a region that Velloso has had."
V - Velloso, Paulo Sergio Monte LimaAs Jonathan Wendell got his lifetime achievement award at last year’s Games Convention, 2008 should honor Paulo Sergio Monte Lima Velloso for his (always) positive involvement with the sport. The amount of cash and support he has shed out over the years is considerable and I would dare say that there is South American esports today because of him. There is no other person that has had the impact on a region that Velloso has had – you know what you’ve got to do now Esport Awards. Shirts off to him.

Because it’s worth five minutes of your time – every day.
X - Xtracurricular activities
Has currently left my home scene, the Norwegian one, in shambles and it is the thing that keeps Norway from establishing itself as the esport superpower it is capable of being – people have too many options and distractions that there is no need to have the tunnel vision needed to succeed.
Y - YEAH!
The only viable exclamation of joy after the best game of my professional career beating SK 16-0 at WEG Masters in 2006.
Z - Zetor
Where did he go? Did he attend University with a Masters degree in Online maybe, he he?

Ok read, guess its more intresting than the usual 20 questions over and over, but still felt it is lacking something. Keep it up carmac and gl bsl. Heia Norge :o

TRAITOR!
I'm a CS player, but I'm still playing a lot of Quake 3. It's just a amazingly fast game and imo does Quake 3 consist of the best Graphic Engine and Gameplay ever made. Just look at the movies a straigthforward CS fragmovie will always be more boring that a 4 hours German-lesson compared to a Quake 3 fragmovie, because the frags that you able to do is just sick. :P
P.S. P - Pentagram :o
Where did he go? Did he attend University with a Masters degree in Online maybe, he he?
He played CSS in Assembly 07 summer event in finland, dunno is he still playing.
Good read.
You stole MY concept!
I REALLY hate to disappoint, evan.
