The GGL has launched the website for the 2008 Digital Games, announced the official mascots and is asking the community about the game titles they would like to see in the event.

The recently announced Digital Games will be an official Welcome Event for the 2008 Olympic Games with several professional and amateur competitions, celebrity gaming competitions and a gaming Pentathlon. The games for the event have not been announced yet but the event's website has a forum post asking which games should be used.

The official mascots of the Digital Games are Fugu, a red ember, and Agu, a blue droplet of water. The website of the event can be accessed at http://dg.ggl.com/.

I vote for CS 1.6, Q3, WC3 and WoW 3vs3! I really hope that they include a 1on1 fps game atleast, either q3 or q4 since it's undoubtly the most fun to watch.

Quake 3 would definitely be an international success. Quake 4 is like the PainKiller of 2008.

Definitely Starcraft, CS 1.6 and Quake 3/4. WC3 would be a good addition aswell!

Having wow 3on3 in this is like allowing rock scissor and paper to be part of the normal olympics. I like wow and play it myself because its fun but its not balanced enough to be a big esport game. I vote for CS 1.6 wc3 sc and q3 or QW. Cod4 would be fun but dont think its big enough yet to be in this tournament.

so ure saying we should support your game, which some people dislike, so we could see you in action to show "whats e-sports is all about?" I get your point kinda but suggesting people to support other games than the game we like sounds extremely stupid.

"we should use _proper_ games to do so" I hope ure joking with the word proper, that makes u look like a shelfish retard. "should use more popular game" would be a better choice. just because some game is more popular doesnt make it more proper.

well doesnt matter which country it is those games are more popular in there than any other game. all i'm saying you should encourage 1.6 players to vote the game they like, not for example cod4 gamers to vote the game they dont like. because 1.6 is far more popular it should get more votes if the 1.6 gamers were arsed to vote.

Tbh dont put COD4 in the same "list" as C&C and battlefield. Its way bigger then any of thoose games ever was tbh. Though i dont think it existed long enough to be a part of digital mins atm, maybe next year. Though i also agree that it should be wc3 SC cs1.6 and a 1on1 fps (q3/qw). Though i hate too see people putting cod4 in the same list at popularity with C&C and battlefield etc cuz its alot ALOT bigger then thoose ever was.

PC: Counter-Strike 1.6, WarCraft 3, StarCraft, Quake 3. (Maybe FIFA.)
XBOX360: Halo 3, Gears of War.

This is not my favourite games... But I think these games might could be the best choose for a China E-Sport Olympic Games;D

FIFA are not popular game in China, so dunno... And Gears of War is popular in China after that I've seen.
