MYM put an end to SK Gaming's winning streak in this NGL One season as the defending champion broke into the overall final.Coming up with a clean sheet against mTw, SK Gaming awaited their opponent MYM in the Winner Bracket Final for two hours. Despite losing to Mousesports 0-2, Lucifer put on a one-man show as he won the match for his team.
Against SK, MYM's captain Jung Ki "Susiria" Oh took the lead for his team after overcoming Sung Sik "ReMinD" Kim in the first game. Instead of seeding the in-shape Seo Woo "ReiGn" Kang in the next game, SK Gaming sent June "Lyn" Park to take on Susiria. MYM's captain wasted no time in the second game on Gnoll Wood. Susiria left the game in less than 10 minutes.
Without much surprise, the "Fantasista" Jae Ho "Moon" Jang came up against Lyn in the third game on Terenas Stand which is not a friendly map to Orc. Though Lyn put up some good fights against his long time rival, he produced too many Spirit Walkers and hence he failed in killing Moon's continuously increasing number of Druids of the Talon. Moon put MYM again one game ahead in the match.
Seong Deok "SoJu" Lee was the third player for SK Gaming and chose Turtle Rock for the forth game. SoJu finished an "all-kill" against MYM in the NGL regular season and he finished Moon off on Turtle Rock in that match so he definitely wanted to repeat the same victory.
However, SoJu couldn't succeed in pushing Moon as planned. After having the expansion running, Moon pushed back with more and more Archers. SoJu could not withstand because Moon had a much bigger army. SoJu had no choice but to leave the game after seeing his Demon Hunter go down. Moon took the match point for MYM.
ReiGn was the last man for SK Gaming and he picked Twisted Meadows for the fifth game. This match up was definitely not the one ReiGn wanted to face as Moon aced him out with only huntresses on the same map as in the group stage of AWL's second season. The game did not go ReiGn's way as he lost his hero several times in early stage without giving his opponent much trouble.
However, ReiGn learned his lesson from his loss versus Moon in AWL and did not allow Moon to build an expansion in some unexpected positions. In the meantime, he kept harassing Moon's wisps and gold mine and prevented Moon's expansion from running smoothly. The only wyrm ReiGn produced turned out to be too much for Moon's heroes to handle as both Demon Hunter and Panda died a few times. ReiGn closed the gap after scoring the second point for SK Gaming.
The forth player for MYM, Hyo Sub "FoCuS" Eom did not hesitate and pick Lost Temple for the sixth game. Lost Temple is one of the worst maps for Undead against Orc. In most cases Undead switches to Orc when the Orc player chooses this map. ReiGn did well in the beginning. Not only he harassed FoCuS with not letting him to level up his Blade Master, but also forced the latter to cancel one of his Bestiaries. But the shining star in the first day could not resist FoCuS' continuous harassment and was killed once and for all.
SK Gaming goes down to the Consolation Final and await the winner of mTw versus Mousesports. The Consolation Final will start tomorrow at 15:00 CET so stay tuned for more related coverage on the NGL General News item.

Lucifer vs ToD
he kicked 2Moons-wells and did steal some XP with his BM, killed XX talons, the BM, he got higher hero-levels, he stopped Moon from pushing with his DH and BM and microed really well.
besides the TC-loss i can't see any major mistakes
and i don't think he got too many SWs.
it looked very good for Lyn in the game for a pretty long time (when he pushed Moon back) , but it seems to mean nothing especially with mass-talons on TS (did Moon ever lost to an orc on this map?).
Moon teched to T2 with only ONE ARCHER.
perhaps a change strategy-wise? (T1-Push and eventually try to tower Moon?^^)
really dunno what else to do to win.
but one have to say that Moon played good enough to win this game.
a win is a win in the end.
though i would like to see Lyn vs. Moon on LT ;)
i will have watch this replay again.
i wonder who made so many people dislike MYM?
