Mortal Team Work today made a change in their Counter-Strike 1.6 line up.Mortal Team Work (mTw) formally known as NoA announced that a Danish legend will be leaving the team today in the form of Brian “hpx” Christensen, he is leaving the active line up after “he did not put up the numbers he used to” according to manager Martin “Guddo” Cording
Brian “hpx” Christensen lost dedication to the team and wanted to continue with his full time job as a Janitor which he values more than playing Counter-Stike for mTw, Hpx will remain as part of the team but as an inactive player of the team.
With the teams recent good performances they are looking to continue their success in 2008 with the World Cyber Gamers (WCG) and Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC) creeping upon us.
With a good field of players to choose from for a replacement, after last weeks split of Woosai and then Gravitas a few days after, mTw decided they would bring in one legend to replace another.
mTw added Jonas “whimp” Svendsen who mTw have had their eye on for some time, he was known as “The Boy Wonder” with a win at ESWC at the age of 15. He is in all a rifle player where hpx was an AWP player, which will mean mTw are looking to make some adjustments to their tactics and play style.
“Hopefully I can provide them with more tactical options as I am a pure rifle player. My motivation is also stronger than ever so hopefully I can help push us over the top this year,”
“We will compete at SEC at CeBit. At present we are working me into the tactics and we’ll boot camp for ten days prior to that tournament. We can use that time to work out the kinks in our arsenal,” quoted Svendsen
mTw are obviously looking to move from the second best team and take the win in 2008.
