The ESL Extreme Masters Main Round has been played and eight teams and players qualified through the online competition. Also the two highest ranked teams and players attending the Extreme Masters L.A. tournament are qualified for the Extreme Masters Finals being held at the CeBIT in March.

Two stages are being played at the Finals starting with a group stage having five participants each. The first placed of each group advances to the second stage, the double elimination, while the second and third placed teams of both groups meet each other to determine the last two. Tonight the drawings for the group stage will be done live on ESL-TV starting at 19:00 CET.
