IGA Worldwide, the leading in-game advertising network has signed a partnership with the creators of Quake - Id software.Back in Quakecon 2007, John Carmack from ID software announced that they are developing a free online web-browser quake game under the name of Quake Zero. Since then nothing much has been said towards this project and only now, one of the biggest questions; what type of online advertising will be used, has been answered.
Today it was announced (via Kotaku) that ID software will be working together with IGA Worldwide for this project. IGA is the current market-leader in the in-game advertisement sphere. With having a partnership with such game publishers as Electronic Arts, Valve and Atari they have been advertising world famous brands as Nokia, Red Bull, Coca Cola, Gillette and Intel.
Together they will push the game in the esport scene and will provide the gamers, not only with Web stats, rankings and other user friendly features, but also with different tournaments and prizes.

Perfect partner for the project :D
I wonder which kind of browser could demonstrate 100% power of OpenGL.
this is just example. This game don't use opengl library.
You just need a loader like Flash, Java applet, shockwave or any other pluging
just see this game who use shockwave : http://www2.rasterwerks.com/game/phosphor/beta1.asp
