After the last few grueling hours, Fnatic and Capslock Crew finally finished their match ending the 1st round. The first matches of the tournament have all been pretty interesting, some drama included.now wat motha fuka(2345) vs Shuttlecocks(2346)
Score: 3-1
Round 1 started off with 'now wat motha fuka' vs 'Shuttlecocks', both teams agreed to play a day early. Shuttlecocks was the #1 rated team in Bloodlust at this point when they played the match and went in as a high seed(#2). 'now wat motha fuka' was forced to play 2345 from their normal 2346, making them also the only 2345 team in the tournament. 'Shuttlecocks' went into this round as the favorites because of their rating and comp being superior in most top-ranked arena players eyes. NWM went in to win their match 3-1, "upsetting" the favored Shuttlecocks. NWM will now play SK-Gaming in the 2nd round of the winner's bracket, Shuttlecocks now plays Slackers in the 1st round of the Loser's Bracket.

SK-Gaming USA(Droodrogue) vs Slakers(Drain Team)
Score: 3-2
The next match to play was 'SK-Gaming USA' vs 'Slackers'. SK-Gaming went in running the team composition invented on European realms, or more popularly nicknamed "Droodrogue" or straight up "Euro Comp". Neilyo and co went in considered to be at a slight-disadvantage against hunter teams, but the outcome didn't show it. SK-Gaming won 3-2 and advanced to Round 2 of the Winner's Bracket and Slackers will play Shuttlecocks in the 1st round of the loser's bracket. In unofficial rematches, Slackers adjusted their strategy and went 5-0 in a 2nd set of 5 games.
teh supeh gosus(Druid/Paladin) vs fresh out the boat(MoB TurtlePower TFO)
Score: 3-2
In the hardest match to predict, 'teh supeh gosus' faced off against 'fresh out the boat'. Both ran very unorthodox compositions and neither could have predicted how the matches played out. TSG's comp is a variation of the "Euro Comp" with the core of Mage/Warlock/Druid but included a Warrior/Paladin instead of Rogue/Priest. This proved to be strong vs the fobs' comp. FOBs ran the comp that 'MoB Turtle Power TFO' ran to win BlizzCon's first arena world tournament of Warrior/Mage/Resto Sham/Hunter/Paladin. TSG managed to come out ontop 3-2 in a very close 5 game series. TSG will play Capslock crew in the 2nd round WB and FOBs will play fnatic.wow in the 1st round LB.
Capslock Crew(2346) vs fnatic.WoW(Droodrogue)
Score: 3-1
Capslock Crew and Fnatic.WoW faced off monday, despite schedule conflicts during the first 3 days. Capslock Crew ran the 2346 with some spec adjustments (Warrior/Paladin/Priest/Ele Shaman/ SL/SL Warlock) The problem with Monday matches is that arena queues are prioritized to people trying to get their rated matches in to earn arena points for the week. After the first 2 fully completed matches were played, there was a 3-hour delay in attempts to meet each other between match. In all, it took over 6+ hours to finish 4 matches ending the series 3-1 in favor of Capslock Crew. Capslock faces teh supeh gosus in round 2WB while fnatic faces FoB round 1 LB.
As a result of this ordeal of the fnatic vs CLC match, no matches will be played on Mondays for the rest of the tournament. Reason being because a vast amount of WoW players try to sneak in their 10 games to get arena points for the week before server reset and queues become ridiculously long. Arena server prioritizes rated matches, thus making it nearly impossible to start skirmish games.

haha
clc vs fnatic...
thats just so untrue as proven in the Euro tourney the druid/rogue has quite an advantage over the burn/drain team
They should just have gone on shaman and loled at the warlocks inability to burst them.
For alliance teams a fear and dot spamming lock is in many cases simply too disruptive to allow for a kill.
Then again, you guys play quite alot differently than we do so it's hard to draw parallels.
I just feel that alot of droodrogues are too single-minded in their target choices. It is possible to kill more than just warlocks - not that warlock is a bad target.
Don't simply go with what you feel - try things. I know you havn't played the setup for very long however. Rating means nothing atm so who cares if you loose a game cause something new failed. If it doesn't work for you then fine, if it does you've just gained a different option which is always good.
Sitting on a warlock means that he'll cast virtually no spells whatsoever and even if he manages to kite some the rogue is guaranteed to hurt him like hell.
Leaving the warlock alone means they have an incredibly easy time peeling the rogue from the shaman not to mention fears just generally fucking up the teams position which is a very big thing for the setup - particularly when playing it as aggresively as we do.
It's not that we don't switch targets though, it's just that against the vast majority of opponents we're able to end the game before any target switching becomes relevant.
As I said though, we play it very differently to you and also to the Fnatic team judging by the video I saw.
You both focus rather heavily on early cc, whereas we use priest fear, cyclone and counterspell as our only means of cc in like the first 30 seconds of the game as a way for us to get ahead on damage and forcing the healers to be behind - much like a RMP is played.
Then as the fight drags on we add warlock fears and polymorphs but not untill we've got so much damage pressure that our cc's are likely to last very long due to dispellers simply being too busy healing.
Both methods work and are effective, our players just generally prefer the aggresive approach.
