After releasing the participants for this years FIFA 2008 challenge at the Samsung European Championship, the Counter-Strike invitations were also released. Sixteen different countries can send one team to represent them in this years competition which is chosen by the local license holder. SK Gaming managed to win the SEC last year but did not get invited back to defend their title but still theres some great teams attending.
The SEC will be held at the CeBIT once again which takes place from 4th to 9th march with 5 different PC Games as well as two Console Games on the XBOX. With mTw for Denmark, emuLate for France or aTTaX for Germany it will be a great tournament but also with a very tight schedule as the ESL Extreme Masters Finals are also being played at the CeBIT.

Earlier today the SEC released the list of participating teams for the Samsung European Championship 2008. Being the current champion SK Gaming didn't get invited back for this years competition.
