Pierre-Jean Orgues considers himself one of SK Warcraft's 3 biggest fans but there is more to this "fanboy" than meets the eye.

Pierre-Jean Orgues is an 18 year old French student who studies and lives in the Font-Romeu in the south of France, he may not be a German rockstar but he too is very fond of SK Gaming.

Following a freestyle ski-ing accident his life as a sportsman was cut short as he broke both his kneecaps.

He has a passion for Korea and its culture and lifestyle and dreams of one day living in Seoul, Korea, by day he is an economics student and by night he is one of SK Gaming's biggest fans.

He wears the SK Gaming Adidas clothing with pride at his highschool and considers it no different from supporting your favourite football team.

His game alias is "Toad" and thanks to the sweat of his own brow, he has booked himself a ticket to Berlin next week for the NGL-One Finals where he will be joining the SK crew and players.

Malystryx: I've met many SK Gaming fans online but I have to say you are without a doubt the biggest "fanboy" I have ever encountered. When and why did you begin to like SK Gaming?

Toad: Actually, I started enjoying SK when Zacard, Sweet was still SK. Afterwards, I liked the quality of the website, the news proposed, the coverages... Then, Zacard and Sweet left SK, and I still continued supporting it. It's not because they left that I had to stop supporting the team, since XlorD, HoT, miou (still in SK) and Insomnia were good players

However, the World Elite (WE) line-up irritated me because they were so strong ; SoJu, ReMinD, Lyn, ReiGn and Sky, all gathered together by reis. I told myself, that in this game, everybody can defeat everybody but I was still worried SK Gaming would struggle to beat such a strong team.

Last year, I went to ESWC and I did not have time to see SK players, because every time I fell upon Lyn's and SoJu's game... After the final won by SoJu, I was somewhat worried for SK, I was afraid they might go downhill. Time went by and then I learnt that SoJu, Lyn, ReMinD, reis had joined SK! Since that moment, SK has been doing well.

ImageMalystryx: What have been your favourite SK moments ?

Toad: The first was when I learnt that SoJu, ReMinD, Lyn, reis from World Elite joined SK.

Being able to support SK with my favourite players of old and of new was pretty good. Second was when SK won the WC3L Season XII, I was so happy!

All SK players played very well, it was a great result. Other favourite moments... perhaps when Lyn won the MGC and the last AWL season. I was happy too. When your favourite player has won competitions you can't help but feeling good.

Malystryx: So how many SK Gaming Warcraft 3 matches do you watch?

Toad: Anytime SK is playing, be it ClanWar, AWL, PGL, WC3L, NGL, I manage to watch all the games. If there are no replays available to download, I will ask FoReVeR_ManUtd to send me links of games that have been streamed or are streaming and I try to watch the main games.

Malystryx: How do you fit SK Gaming into your schedule, do you have a routine, like come home do your homework, check website, results etc.. ?

Toad: When I finish my school, I do my homework during 2 hours. I come back arround 16:30 and until 18:00 or 18:30 I will study. Afterwards, I check my mail, my messages on my guestbooks etc... then have some food, clean-up and prepare for the next day.

I will stay on the PC only until 22:30 because every morning I must be ready for school by 07:30. When I'm on the computer, I watch SK replays, help some SK staff with updating matches like the WC3L or Extreme Masters for example.

I also play a little myself testing some strategies and try to improve my game. On most weekends I will go see my girlfriend and my friends in afternoon. I can see my girlfriend in my high school but we aren't in the same class, so it's hard see her... just during the meal or sometimes during the pause.

Malystryx: Who are your favourite members of SK.wc3 and why?

Toad: I've got one favourite member: Lyn. In my opinion, Lyn is the best orc palyer ever, and the best player in the world at the moment. He confirmed his skills when he beat FoCuS 3-0 during the AWL Final. Aside from that, during the WC3L matches he kept winning 2-0.

He won the MGC 2007 and he won the revelation of 2007 award recently. He already was a good player with WE but he kept improving with SK. He got better in his game, most of all in his mirror matches. I don't think he will disappoint me. I think at the next ESWC, he could win it.

Malystryx: You own quite a lot of SK merchandise, which merchandise do you have and how do you pay for it all?

ImageToad: I started "collecting" them in June 2006, in terms of clothes I've got three SK Gaming adidas hoodies, two shirts, one poloneck T-shirt and one jacket!
In terms of hardware, I've got the full SteelSeries stuff with: The ikari laser as mouse, the steelseries siberia as headphones, sk s&s edition as mousepad and the steelseries 6g as keyboard!

I could afford it because I worked during last year's holidays and I also got some of them as Christmas and Birthday presents.

Malystryx: I can understand the hardware earns its place on your PC stand but what about the SK clothes, do you wear them often outside of the house?

Toad: I used to wear them when I was freestyle ski-er but after my crash I had to stop ski-ing. However I continued to support SK.WC3 but more intensely like a football team. When you are a fan of a football team, for example, you buy the football merchandise.

Besides, my highschool is a high level sportive highschool and we often see students wearing the clothes of their teams. Why not E-Sports?

E-Sports in France is a little closed, you can't compare it to South Korea but if you like an E-Sports team, why not wear their clothes?

In my opinion it is important to represent the team you are a fan of! I'm wearing SK clothes in my high school because a lot of people wear their favorite teams shirts like Arsenal, or for basketball with Lakers, for me it is SK!

Malystryx: You mentioned a crash, what exactly happened?

Toad: Before I was a freestyle skier. I had to stop because I got operated on. It was in a competition, I arrived to the big air and I wanted to launch a "switch cork 720 tail grab". The snow was pretty good and I arrived so fast on the big air that I overflew the landing area by 10 metres which was 20 metres long.

My crash was pretty hard because i did a cork 1080 °and i fell on my knees.. Afterwards, my knees were broken and the operation was conducted only 2 hours after the crash since it was so urgent. I can now walk but that is about it.

Malystryx: So now despite going to a school with a high level of sporting activites you are unable to play sports?

ImageToad: I don't practice a specialize sport because of my crash, I practice only the highschool sports like voleyball, handball you know.

I must take care because of my knees. It's very boring... I miss Freeski. With my parents, we watch some DVDs from Freeski team but I really want to try again.

However I think if I tried to go ski-ing again it would be a big risk for me. So I play Warcraft III ;)

Malystryx: So you use SK.Toad on msn, irc, bnet, wear sk clothes, use sk hardware and now you will be attending the NGL if I'm not mistaken. How did you organise this trip? Is it your first time outside of France alone??

Toad: I have never been outside France alone, I visited England and Spain with my parents. As far as the organization of the trip is concerned, I would like to thank Min-Sik Ko (reis) a lot because without his help, I wouldn't have found a place to sleep by myself.

He contacted the NGL who provides the gamers with a hotel and asked if I could stay with them. Hence, I am grateful to him, for his help and his support. I booked my plane ticket more than a month ago for Berlin-Tegel. I'm looking forward to being there and seeing all these great players. I consider myself very lucky.

Malystryx: What are you most looking forward to about your trip? Are there any players you are particularly interested in meeting ?

ImageToad: I only really hope to spend a good time with the Koreans players and reis, as well as enjoy the victory I'm expecting SK to achieve! As far as the players are concerned, I'm interested in meeting all of the SK gamers and speaking with them.

There is no player in particular I am most interested to meet apart from Lyn of course since he is my favourite player. However I want to say that SoJu, ReMinD, ReiGn, miou are excellent players too. So, I'll be glad to meet them as well.

During this trip, I want to see how the koreans play, their strategies used against the different races for example. For me, these guys are stars in WC3 so, seeing them I hope to learn a lot. I'm looking forward to seeing them!

Having these players next to you, it's a pleasure because a lot of people dream of seeing them. In South Korea, these Koreans are the stars. I really think I'll have great fun with them. The ESWC was a fantastic experience to see the professional gamers in front of me. The NGL One will be even better!

Malystryx: Thanks for the interview, any shoutouts?

Toad: Thanks to you for the interview, thanks again to reis who helps me, and I hope that TyaliSs will feel better than before, I wish her a lot of happiness with her boyfriend and... SK FIGHTING !
