Blizzard's developing team starts testing the highly hankered Patch 1.22 publicly.
After failing to deliver the upcoming Warcraft III patch as promised last year, Blizzard's RTS Community Manager Karune has been posting updates on the test procedure since the beginning of this year. On yesterday evening he released another update on the issue.
A week after putting the Patch 1.21b online, which removed the requirement to use the Warcraft III CD to play, Karune in his Warcraft III Patch Announcements/Updates reiterated that they were on the way to shift the testing of Patch 1.22 to a test Battle.net server and collect feedback from the public on the changes they have made in the patch.
However many desperately waiting fans have been disappointed by Blizzard's long delay on the new patch and may even consider the new patch will only turn out to be a mirage.

Sure, there is a lot of money in the competitive scene of wc3, but i don't think they would make more money on it by giving out patches.
Wc3 is an old (but great) game that is past it's time, why don't they just let it die slowly and focus on wow, cod4, starcraft and their other new games? In my opinion it is a waste of resources. Most players have quit, and are quitting, including myself.
The only reason i can find for activion blizzard to update wc3 is to boost their image.
Happy customers means new sales, they want the WC3 fans to buy SC2 right ? So they need to make sure we still like Blizzard, which is arguable considering the loosening around wc3.
thats like me yelling at a sony salesman cuz they dont make parts for my B&W 30 years old tv anymore...
happy costumers do mean new sales... but find me one person that plays wc3 and even if blizz announces that they wont even finish the new patch (wouldnt be a suprise to me)... wont buy sc2 in the end...
patch ,hurry up
gogo blizzard
