The MYM Prime Defending administration rescinded their punishment against KingSurf for "map hacking."
As we previously reported in KingSurf banned from MYM PD due to maphacking, the world-renowned DotA team KingSurf was accused of map hacking in the decisive match against the Greek team 1P in the playoff preliminary of the 9th MYM Prime Defending.
Most of the highlighted suspect actions from KingSurf players were selections on their opponents' units while they should remain invisible in fog. This led to the conclusion that KingSurf players used third party software to remove fog in game. They were therefore considered cheaters and banned from the tournament.
However, after further investigation, they found out that "there is a bug in WarCraft 3 replays, which keeps a unit selected even after it entered the fog - although the player who had it selected does not see it anymore" according to their latest announcement.
The Malaysian champions will consequently continue their march in this tournament and advance to the playoffs. After defeating the Danish team Kobold-Mobility, they come across the TeG in the Quarter-Finals.
