The Counter-strike relegation pairs for EM

ImageThe Intel Extreme Masters, a major event with tournaments in two games, have made the relegation matches for Counter-strike public.

Not so long ago we reported that ESL released the relegation pairs of Warcraft III for the upcoming Intel Extreme Masters Finals II, where Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen has already secured himself a spot, whilst his ex-team mate Yoan "ToD" Merlo still has to qualify for it. But now they have also announced the Counter-strike pairs for this relegation phase.

Teams like SK Sweden, Spirit of Amiga and mousesports have passed this stage, but some of the star-studded teams such as the world's highest-ranked team fnatic or the recent EPS Germany winners Alternate-aTTaX, still have to qualify for the Finals.

The Counter-strike relegation pairs were made the same way the Wacraft III were. The second placed teams will play against the third placed teams, with a note that the participants who were in the same group cannot play against each other. The winner from each pair will qualify for the EM Finals of season 2.

You can follow the upcoming and previous matches in our coverage.

Counter-strike pairs:
fnatic vs. wooSai
mTw.dk. vs. Virtus.pro
Team Roccat vs. Atlanteam
ALTERNATE aTTaX vs. Gravitas Gaming
