Activision doubles CoD4 prize money at i33
The CoD4 tournament features now a 12,000€ prize purse.

The CoD4 tournament features now a 12,000€ prize purse.Multiplay has just announced that thanks to Activision's continouos support towards their new Call of Duty title the prize money for the upcoming i33 event has been doubled from 6,000€ (~8,700$) to 12,000€ (~17,000$). The action also makes it the largest prize purse in the four month history of Call of Duty 4. Multiplay also had the privilege to host the first ever Call of Duty 4 tournament just one day after it was released in Europe in November.
With teams like fnatic, Epsilon and dignitas already confirmed their participation to the event, which will take place between 21st and 24th March in Newbury, England more foreign and maybe some Norther American teams are expected to participate the tournament. While the Multiplay iSeries are the largest BYOC LANs in Great Britain, there is an alternative for gamers as they can use the turn up and play choice which gives them the opportunity to use the tournament PC's, for extra amount of currency ofcourse.
