ImageA lot of surprises, a lot of upsets. The first day of the $250,000 EMS One tournament is over.

The people behind the Electronic Sports League managed to once again amaze us with outstanding creativity. Despite that the tournament beginning was without a crowd, the matches were more than beautiful, the broadcast was superb, the commentators and analytics were doing their job brilliantly. Interviews with several players were taken. Few extras were added to overall improve the stream. There were large amount of unexpected results and a lot of emotions. Just one huge congratulations to the team of ESL and that is only the beginning.

Unfortunately, former SK Gaming Editor-of-Chief UK Duncan 'Thorin' Shields was removed from the casting lineup due to inappropriate comments he made towards Poland. More information can be found at HLTV.org.

Starting with the first match of Group B between the Swedish giant SE Ninjas in Pyjamas and the Danish team DK 3DMAX . Starting on the weaker CT side, Ninjas in Pyjamas executed a bit unusual, but yet success strategy and managed to win the all important pistol round. The next round went again to the Swedish team flawlessly, thanks to SE Richard 'Xizt' Landström's three kills. SE Robin 'Fifflaren' Johansson picked up the AWP early and managed to shoot down an opponent on short, allowing SE Christopher 'GeT_RiGhT' Alesund to score three frags and win the first gun round. DK Jacob 'Pimp' Winneche was able to sneak into bombsite B and plant the bomb, but despite taking two enemies down in a 1on3 situation, he was unable to clutch the round against GeT_RiGhT. Together with Xizt, the in-game leader Fifflaren denied 3DMAX to penetrate long and added one more round for his team. During the next round, the Danish team 3DMAX was able to infiltrate bombsite B without any resistance at all and won it, thanks to DK Mathias 'MSL' Lauridsen's three important frags. Devastating rush from the Danish side secured them yet another round, leaving Ninjas in Pyjamas low on supplies. DK Lukas 'gla1ve' Rossander managed to add three more frags in the scoreboard in order to secure the eighth round. Unfortunately for the Danes, GeT_RiGhT shot down three targets with AWP, giving enough time for his teammates to rotate and help him win the round. GeT_RiGhT managed to score three more once again during the followed round. SE Adam 'friberg' Friberg managed to clutch 2on3 situation by taking down three targets and successfully defusing the bomb, thanks to GeT_RiGhT's assistance. SE Patrik 'f0rest' Lindberg came up with three instant kills during the thirteenth round in order to save yet another round for Ninjas in Pyjamas. GeT_RiGhT won the last round of the first half by clutching a crucial 1on2 situation.

Perfectly executed strategy by the Danish in-game leader gla1ve has won the pistol round of the second half for 3DMAX. As expected, GeT_RiGhT once again demonstrated his monstrous individual skills by winning the first gun round against the odds. Flawless round for the Swedish team followed against the eco rounded 3DMAX. The Danish squad lacked of snipers during the first half, but we witnessed the desperate Pimp buying AWP during a late round in the second half, but unfortunately were shut down by friberg and his troops. Ninjas in Pyjamas' unquestioned team play secured them the needed four rounds to win the match.
