ESWC have signed a new deal with one of the leading home PC brands in Europe, Packard Bell and World wide leading processor manufacturer - Intel.

After running a successful Electronic Sports World Cup Grand Final in 2007, Packard Bell will be providing Intel-based Packard Bell iPower PCs at several ESWC European National Finals and the ESWC Masters in Paris, which will be held in Bercy sports hall on July 4-6.

As we previously reported, the ESWC Masters is a new side event for players and teams all around the world who don’t have National Qualifiers in their country to qualify for the Grand Final in California.

Yeah...it loks like only hardware-provider...
At ESWC page they wrote only about Bell which use Intel processors. I think thats why Intel is named as a "sponsor".

Well still it could be that Packar Bell provides them With hardware with Intel cpu's and intel invests some amount of money aswell in it. cause they do have intel listed as a sponsor on "Mondial du Gaming" website.

Yeah well it's a good spons anyways, as they're getting 350 computers from Bell. It might not have an impact on the prizemoney etc but it will most likely make the actual tournaments a lot smoother as there isn't a hassle with who's using which computer.

So all in all good deal for ESWC.

Pro gamers will be happy with cash prize sponsorships more, although it is difficult to negate the importance of this one.

providing the hardware infrastructure for all competitions releases quite a big sum that would be used for that to increase the overall prize money, i hope.

nevertheless, it's always important this kind of agreement for both sides.
