ESL Major Series II Prize Distribution
The ESL have unveiled the prize distribution for the ESL Major Series II, a whopping €15.000 in cash and hardware prizes are up for grabs.

The ESL have unveiled the prize distribution for the ESL Major Series II, a whopping €15.000 in cash and hardware prizes are up for grabs.The ESL Major Series are to dish out these prizes over 10 games; two RTS titles, two football titles and six FPS titles. The ESL therefore has a broad selection of games with the format being online only.
Counter-Strike source picks up the biggest prize purse of €3,000, followed by FIFA with €2000 and then Unreal Tournament 3 with €1,500 + Hardware.
Here are the games and their relevant prize money:
Call of Duty 4: €750, €450, €300
Counter-Stike Female: €500, €300, €200
Counter-Strike Source: €1,500, €900, €600
Dawn of War: €500, €300, €200
Defence of the Ancients: €750, €450, €300
Enemy Territory: €500, €300, €200
FIFA: €1,000, €600, €400
PES: Laptop, TFT, Graphics Card
Team Fortress 2: €750, €450, €300
Unreal Tournament 3: €750, €450, €300
The qualifications and sign-ups are already underway for Team Fortress2, Unreal Tournament3, FIFA and Counter-Strike Female so get your team lock and loaded and ready to challenge for top 3!

i'd like to see more not-so-pretty female gamers, instaed of the good-looking ones, who cannot compete with men (or don't even (want to) try).
if female gamers dont have the will to train hard and become as good as their male competitors, but prefer to play in female only tournaments, so the skill level is 'fair', then i got to say that it's a f*cking joke.
but why is that so?
cause there is practically no female gaming scene.
there are some girls who like to play games, and as men usually show interest in things that inculde women, it's a good deal for hardware manufacturers and all other branches that want advertise products that are to be sold to young men, to host such female only events, even tho there aint a female gaming scene.

How they can justify giving Dawn of War a cash prize and not PES is beyond me.
