Vivendi Games, the parent company of Blizzard Entertainment reached €1,018 million in revenues for the year 2007, mainly due to the superfamous World of Warcraft game.According to MCVuk's report, daughter company Blizzard Entertainment got a €814 million euros share of the total sum, a 58% percent growth, while Vivendi Games had 26.6% percent.
Vivendi Games and other daughter companies: the media giant Sierra Entertainment, Sierra Online and Vivendi Game Mobile collected altogether €204 millions, with 29% percent growth.
Not so long ago SK Gaming reported that World of Warcraft broke the 10 million players boundary mark, which is a sign of the constantly growing gaming community, while this is an indication of its growth in revenue statistics.
Nevertheless, €1bn is just a fraction as more than €20bn flow through the nest at Vivendi Games.
