On February 2008, more than 1000 gamers will meet each other at the 20th ASUS Open cup in Moscow, Russia between 23rd - 24th February 2008. This time the cup features six tournaments. The complete prize purse is $34,500 dollars.

The Masters tournaments will have qualifications, or "freely to big number of open nominations", whence lower ranked teams have possibilities to receive spots into main event.

On the 29th of January the list of Counter-Strike Masters qualifications will be announced, and on 1st February the online registration for open disciplines.
