The Knockout guild/arena team from Stormscale who recently migrated from bg1 to Cyclone, are hosting an invitational 5vs5 arena tournament during the upcoming week.Eight teams have been invited to participate, three of them are top teams from other battlegrounds who have moved to Cyclone in hopes to find the best PvP in Europe.
The matches will be played in a best of five format, and the teams will be fighting eachother trough a double elimination bracket which can be viewed here.
The first round of the winner bracket looks like this:
Nihilum vs I AR TANKER
Dont hate the player vs Naughty America
Nagas vs Avada Kevavra
Knockout vs movieLOL
Who are all these teams some of you might think, and of course we'll give you some details about the participating teams.
Nihilum Arena (Stormscale)
Setup: Warrior, Hunter, Warlock, Priest, Paladin, (Shaman)
No, it's not Kungen and his entourage. These guys are playing alliance and seem to have recieved some kind of sponsorship from the Nihilum organisation. They used to be one of the top PvPers on the Magtheridon realm (where THE Nihilum plays horde), but migrated to Stormscale back in season 1 and joined up with Core. Untill a few days ago they used to play 2346 (2345 with warlock instead of a mage) but now they seem to be playing with the infamous hunter Cherekee (used to be the worlds highest rated player) who transfered to Stormscale from Talnivarr.
I AR TANKER (Ravencrest)
Setup: Warrior, Warlock, Mage, Priest, Paladin
Currently ranked 7th in the Cyclone battlegroup, and that's pretty much all I know about this team. Solid setup and they seem to have been a top contender in this battlegroup for quite some time now.
Dont hate the player (Stormscale)
Setup: Rogue, Mage, Warlock, Priest, Druid
Currently ranked 8th in Cyclone. Various top players from Stormscales different PvP guilds.
Naughty America (Stormscale)
Setup: Warrior, Hunter, Warlock, Priest, Paladin
These guys won the Reckoning battlegroup last season and moved to Stormscale just a few days ago. Cherekee actually played with these guys untill they transfered, and instead of him they are now playing with Mctatt - an ex Warders hunter.
Nagas (Stormscale)
Setup: Warrior, Hunter, Warlock, Priest, Paladin, (Shaman)
Top team from Cyclone, have been dominating the ladder for a very long time. Currently ranked 2nd on the ladder.
Avada Kevavra (Stormscale)
Setup: Rogue, Warlock, Mage, Priest, Druid
Another top team who have resided on Cyclone for some time. Plays a very uncommon setup as they're using a rogue in a 3dps team - with a priest and druid as healers. Currently ranked 5th on the Cyclone ladder, very interesting team!
Knockout (Stormscale)
Setup: Warrior, Hunter, Warlock, Priest, Paladin
These guys have been dominating bg1 since the launch of the arenas, recently transfered to Cyclone and does very well - currently ranked 3rd on the ladder.
movieLOL (Stormscale)
Setup: Warrior, Warlock, Shaman, Priest, Paladin
Used to be one of the top teams in the Reckoning battlegroup, kept the #1 spot for almost the entire season 2 untill Naughty America took it the very last day. Plays 2346 and transfered to Stormscale just a few days ago.
Update:
We just got informed that movieLOL has been replaced by CHICKEN FRIED RICE, a team that has been playing on Cyclone for quite some time and finished 6th in season 2. They're playing the classic CLC/Knockout setup - Warrior, Hunter, Warlock, Priest and Paladin. Also I was wrong about "Dont hate the player" as they're playing their priest as discipline aswell, which means another rogue 3dps team - interesting!

Not many LAN events.. might as well figure out how to make an online event.
Just sad we prolly wont be able to watch the games.
goodluck!
And I take the opportunity to promote the Quakenet IRC chans of #wow.bg3 who is the community channel of Cyclone, and #Cyclone who was started recently only for the 5vs5 scene as #wow.bg3 tends to get pretty wild during prime time. If you want to ask questions, or something like that.
it's trying too hard to cover gaming in a popular newspaper-style. :(
but gaming isn't 'regular' news..
I think level in the french BG Cataclysme is quite as good as level on Cyclone
(Millenium, aAa, aAa.Les Pores are playing there)
:p
I guess you were wrong though, Avada kinda owned Nagas (top 3 team), no?
Resto Shaman ones are place 1 in blackout and raserei and paladin one is #2 in blutdurst.
And yeah Murderous Gangstaz == Nihilum Arena. We reformed 3days ago. Our new team is currently already ranked 4 and that took us 2days of playing. So I'd say it's going pretty well with our new player Cherekee the hunter!
and go go Nihilum Arena team! make us proud
Respect to I AR TANKER for playing with classic Mage setup during these hard times.
Too bad they make the tour so we can't spectate so #care. May the winner enjoys his e-peen buff.

Nobody is going to waste their time to organize a tournament where winners could be decided via a cointoss.
If teams fraps the fraps will be found from the tournaments brackets (-> Tournaments -> 1. Tournament)
(ATM theres no fraps available, but there will be from the avada against nagas atleast)
im love it
with nice stats 2100 ^^
