WoW Gold Limit Reached by a Player
Most people struggle to farm gold for their epic mounts, enchants and such, however a player on the German realms has managed to reach the gold limit in World of Warcraft - 214,748 Gold 36 Silver and 46 Copper.

Most people struggle to farm gold for their epic mounts, enchants and such, however a player on the German realms has managed to reach the gold limit in World of Warcraft - 214,748 Gold 36 Silver and 46 Copper.The German player remains anonymous but he reveals that his earnings has been made only by trading troughout the last three years. The cap has also been confirmed by a game master, although the SK leader Andreas "bds" Thorstensson had a little bit more details on this random number:
"Why is this random figure the gold cap? Because they most likely store the data in a 32 bit signed integer, which has a maximum size of 2147483647. So the actual cap could potentially be 214748 gold, 36 silver and 47 copper, or they use that last byte for something else."

Since his nickname is not secret due to the GM conversation people have posted the armory link to his profile. The dude was, for fun, wearing full T3 plus 2 BT rings and the staff from Illidan. So he definetly is a hardcore player as a whole.
But the gold part alone? Yes it takes a lot of time to reach this astonishing amount, but it also requires a lot of cleverness since he made his money by being active seller / buyer on the auction house. And once you reach a certain point, which would be at least over 10.000G, you start to get the "power" to control a certain product in the AH, buy all available offers and put them all in again for a higher price.
So why many of you just grind BGs all day or spend the evening different, that guy might have spend some hours at the AH.
He is hardcore overall, with raiding and trading, yes. But just the trading.... well thats what makes the game enjoyable for him. So he just spends his time different imo,

Imo having a lot of gold is nice, but one can get carried away it seems. Whats the point of having over 20.000 g anyway? I'd start selling gold.
Anyway it's nice to see someone reaching the cap, however I'm very glad it's not me.
I'm quite sure it affects his school/work whatever.
If the guy has great marketing skills, buying stuff from Auctionhouse for a small price, and selling it for a bigger price. You can make tons of money, without spending 24/7 after your pc.
