The competitive scene in World of Warcraft is growing rapidly; the arena playstyle with different brackets offers everything that a true e-sport game needs. The competition however is something that varies vastly in each battlegroup, and that is something that has to be fixed in order to bring wow closer to e-sport acceptance.

The American battlegroup "bloodlust" a.k.a. Bg9 is nowadays thought of as the best North American battlegroup by far; home of high profile teams such as Pandemic, fnatic(Insurrection) and SK, and other star players such as Serennia, Azael and Happyminti to name a few.

- "It's gotten to the point where accomplishments in other battlegroups aren't even noteworthy anymore unless it's done in BG9", quote from Serennia's interview with SK.

This is exactly what needs to be done in order to take that extra step towards a professional, competitive scene, and that's why we have decided to call out for an official "bg9 of Europe".

Cyclone (battlegroup 3) is the home of various top teams such as the European regional champions SK (Warders) and global finals runner up 4Kings (Nashwan). Recently top teams such as Knockout, (4th place at the European regionals), world #1 2vs2 team druid/hunter Cherekee and Beasteh have migrated there as well, which makes more than a perfect reason for this to become the most competitive battlegroup in Europe. Many more teams and players have of course done this, but in order to make this THE battlegroup, we are willing to take an extra step.

Not only will this become the most fun battlegroup to play in, but at the end of each month we will be handing out prizes by Steelseries to the top 3 teams in each bracket, plus some extra prizes for the three highest ranked players (all three brackets together). The first prizes will be handed out the last week of February, more details on that will be announced later.

So everyone who doesn't already play in the Cyclone battlegroup (battlegroup 3) and wants to take that extra step, and who knows, maybe even become a professional wow player one day, we suggest that you start migrating as soon as possible!

Below you can find a few statements from well known players and teams who already play or plan on transferring to the, soon-to-be best battlegroup in Europe.

Vilu, Paladin (Knockout)
- 4th place at the European regional finals season 1.
"We moved since our old BG had nothing to offer us competition wise, on Cyclone we found competition. Arena is fun here. I'm pretty sure there are other teams who are in the exact same position as we were, that's enough reason to migrate imo."

vilden, Rogue
- Former professional CS player and 1st to break 2400 rating in 3s/5s in season 2 on Cyclone.
"I think it's a great initiative to actually get an "official" battlegroup where the best
of the best will gather. Now with prizes and stuff, those people who are into the game for pvp
doesn't really have a choice, their benefit should exceed the cost of paying the transfer cost.
This initiative should make the Cyclone BG more competitive than Tichondrius/BG9 in the US.
Even though I think Stormscale/Cyclone deserves mentioning in the same breath as Tichondrius/BG9, I see new people everyday on Stormscale climbing the ladders.
And all of you people who doesn't agree with me, just skip the discussion and bring your friends
here! Also, I guess I'm not the only one tired of all the talking about how good the BG9 is, so, then again, would be fun to actually have a justifiable argument for having the best BG in the world, in Europe!"

Beasteh, Druid
- Worlds highest ranked 2vs2 team together with Cherekee (Hunter).
"Me and Cherekee (renamed to Cherez), decided to move to Stormscale to take advantage of the world class teams and players currently on Cyclone battlegroup. Our previous battlegroup had some talented players don't get wrong, but it was lacking the activity from high end teams that we needed to progress further."

Zeksy, Priest (SK Gaming)
- Winner of the European regional finals season 1.
"BG3 and especially Stormscale is the place to be for people who enjoy PvP, and have been so since release when a large amount of old PvP guilds from DAoC decided to make Stormscale their home. I’m hoping that everyone out there that are serious about PvP, and especially Arenas, will come and join in on the action."

Jebzig, Warlock (4Kings)
- Runner-up World finals season 1.
"It seems like more and more teams from other BG's are migrating here, so I gues if you play for the competitive part of wow, it would be worth consider to move here.. the more top teams that gets here, the better!"
