WCG 2008 with CS 1.6 and Warcraft 3

The Gathering has announced that World Cyber Games event will contain Counter-Strike 1.6 and Warcraft 3 tournaments this year.

Rakaka reported today that the largest Norwegian LAN event, The Gathering 2008 will have World Cyber Games qualification.

The Gathering's management also revealed that the official tournaments are Counter-Strike 1.6 (5on5) and Warcraft 3 (1on1).

The winners will be sent to Cologne, Germany, where the WCG committee organize the Grand Finals between 5th - 9th November 2008.

"We're happy to say that the World Cyber Games (WCG) will have two games this year: Counter-Strike 1.6 and Warcraft 3," stated Berit Emilie Nordbø at The Gathering's official statement.

World Cyber Games committee have not published the official press release as of yet.
