Ron "Rambo" Kim, compLexity's Counter-Strike player has published eBook about Counter-Strike 1.6, which consists more than 200 pages. The book is created in co-operation with Ognian "steel" Gueorguiev and Duncan "Thorin" Shields.

The Art of Counter-Strike digital book holds more than 200 pages worth of text inside, plus 50 minutes of video footages. Book's idea is to show the readers the world of Counter-Strike 1.6.

This is "the most extensive study of competitive Counter-Strike ever undertaken", as said at their official website.

More closely Kim, Gueorguiev and Shields guide you how to handle weapons, different game situations and give the basics of maps and training. This is salted with fifty (50) minutes of video footages. In short, every aspect of Counter-Strike 1.6 is explained.

"Must-have for every aspiring Counter-Strike player, from beginners to amateurs to professionals, everyone can learn from this!", said Danny "fRoD" Montaner.

I think it is a nice help for many to get started with cs, and become better pretty quick, i think it have many good adviceses, and not just is some shit like you often connect theese books with, like in wow... It is the first guide which get that far around the game, 30 dollars for 200 pages, maybe a year of work... it aint that much, imho i think it is a good job they have done, if you buy it you will find something you know, but also something you dont know, thats for sure!

it is like if your hoppy is football, you might read a book about the techniques or something like to become better, it is tips from experts you get :) they are very usefull :) you might spend 5 hours praccin your cs, alone or in mix, or you could read this book at the same time and pracc for your self, and maybe with another, and the last solution you will get 1000 times as much out of :)

So you're criticizing a book's field of scope when it's clearly advertised on a website with arguably the best Counter Strike team in history. It's like walking into a church and saying you don't like being taught about Christ.

FragLike, Life is not all about money and success, it is also about the sense of achievement, maybe you play counter strike for the fun of it [like many others].
But there are some people who feel really good by winning matches and events, I am one of those guys, and if investing time in something, in order to be the very best at it [could be work, hobby, your gf, anything] means you are a geek, than the entire world is full of geeks, and you are a geek yourself also :)
- personally I didnt buy the book, but thats not because im not intrested in it, im sure that even a player who plays from the very first day will learn from it.

personally i think this "book" is too late of coming, with many of the original players gone (almost 50% of counterstrike players no longer play) and a whole new game which splits the entire scene into two group (css). this would of been much better suited for a 2004 release where people were really getting into the game on a global level and really deciding to either get serious or not with what was once called a game. by now people have already lost interest and spending MORE money on a game theyve owned for the past 5+ years would be a rediculous idea for some. sure the idea of of this is good but in reality if people need to learn how to be smart they should watch demos and prac with a solid stable lineup not read a book made by a couple of us players out to make a buck.
