This weekend the ESL Extreme Masters Season 2 kickoff will be held in Los Angeles with a qualification cup for non-european teams. Still the ESL invited some of the best teams around the world from Sweden, Poland, Brazil or Korea attending the event and even though the European teams won't get the qualification spot, they will still fight for the prizemoney of $45,000. A Pre-Qualifier was already held yesterday but due to only four teams attending, the ESL decided to make a all-vs-all group with the four teams playing against eachother and the top two teams advancing to the actual tournament today. Today will be another groupstage with four groups and three teams each group with the best two advancing to the playoffs then. The playoffs will be played in a Double-Elimination and the teams can eliminate maps they do not want to play with the remaining map being the chosen one for the match. Also due to the event being in Los Angeles the matches start pretty late for the spectators here in Europe but you can watch great matches. Below you can get all the information needed to watch the matches and also all the scores since you can't watch all of these great matches at the same time. It would have been a total different match if the server crash never happened.
As for these circumstances, they should either make the game 1-0 again or just change the map for a different kind of motivation.
Still, fnatic played very nice and SK is just getting shape.

#317 and you still think fnatic would have not won the match? i just cant see that SK ONLY lost because of that server crash. surely a disadvantage, but be sure the referees and both teams decided together how they will go on ( if its not set in the official rules already ).

like spawn said they have bootcamped for 2 weeks for this event and it really paid off. a few more months (cpl winter?) and they could become the top team like fnatic is now.

Well played by Fnatic, of course the score would've been different but Fnatic still would've won if this crash wouldnt've happend. You guys shouldnt blame Fnatic but the admins, Fnatic didnt decide but the admins did. Fnatic is just toooooo strong for SK at this moment and they deserved to win.

perhaps sk wouldnt have won but the match wouldnt go that way (clear) there im sure. and i dont blame them, because as i said everyone icluding me would propably do the same( if tehy have the choise) but its not the right thing for me and thats all.. fnatic played a great tournement and deserve it! but also much respekt for the new sk.swe team. hope we will se some nice matches in the future

whole tournament on BO1 sucks imo, at least
winner bracket final, consolation final & grand final should be played in BO3 format. Well that's my opinion :).
