NGL One has unexpectedly removed Counter-Strike 1.6 from their games, what will replace it though?

A very sad day for the Counter-Strike scene as one of the most prestigious Leagues, the NGL ONE, has announced it will be closing the Counter-Strike 1.6 League.

NGL One has ran a professionally managed league in Counter-Strike 1.6 and Warcraft III The Frozen Throne, it is in its fourth season but they will not have a fifth for Counter-Strike 1.6.

NGL One released this statement on their website
"the NGL ONE Counter-Strike League will be discontinued"

“We are sad to announce that the NGL ONE Counter-Strike League will be discontinued after the running season 2007/2008. More information upon the final event will be announced soon.
There will be no changes regarding the NGL ONE WarCraft III League as well as the NGL TWO which will be continued with the same amount of prize money. Counter-Strike will not be replaced by a different game at this time but other games will be added at a later point. The NGL ONE Administration decided to focus a lot more on strategy and sports games in the future."

As it states Warcraft III The Frozen Throne will continue to be played but Counter-Strike 1.6 will be dropped at the end of the 2007/2008 season.

With the mention of NGL looking into strategy and sports game could it mean FIFA, PES or maybe even DOTA could be picked up?
It will be interesting to see what NGL One decides to do next.
