As an invitational event, many well known players declined IEF's invitations due to some reasons. Neverthless we will still have an exciting tournament in front of us with three of SK players who are Lyn, ReMinD and Soju participating. It will not be an easy road to the frozen throne for our players as Grubby, ToD, Sky and Moon are all their worst enemies. Apart from those big names, Chinese youngsters are always able to surprise the audience.

Unfortunately there is still no seeding or any rule for group drawing which make Lyn and Soju see themselves in the same group for the second time after WCG2007 Global Final. Twenty players are drown into four groups and every player will play four best of two matches in the first group stage. Two best players in each group will qualify for the second group stage. There will be semi finals afterwards.
