Twenty four year old German legend, Enrico 'Fuchsstute' Ausborn of TEAM SPEED-LINK has decided to call an end to his illustrious gaming career.TEAM SPEED-LINK captain and tactician, Enrico 'Fuchsstute' Ausborn has proclaimed that his Call of Duty career will come to an abrupt halt with immediate effect.
The move, despite it's massive implications on the team itself, has come at possibly the best time. As the competitive circuit gears down for the holiday period, there isn't the stress and rigor of having to adapt so quickly, if the move had come after the New Year.
Enrico himself felt he could no longer balance gaming and real life obligations, stating, "I could not simply play five days in the week anymore. The time and effort I had put in the team resulted in having only 1 hour of time for my family and friends. And they accepted it without any complaints, gaming has always been a hobby for me, and of course was put behind anything from my real life.".
The SPEED-LINK team in Call of Duty 2 were massive. Setting the early pace in the game, being famously unbeaten on LAN until the Crossfire Prizefight Challenge final they were eventually overthrown by a unstoppable Dignitas side, who as a consequence, went onto their own streak, only to slump like the SPEED-LINK side.
An unusually eloquent gamer found himself grateful towards his time in gaming, citing, "My heart still burns for electronic-sports and I've met an impressive line of people throughout my career, and I'm grateful for that."
The team isn't initially disadvantaged, as their roster was built around six men. Although only will tell how the team which found themselves struggling towards the end of Call of Duty 2, and yet to make any impact in Call of Duty 4, will cope without their talisman.
Fuchsstutes' exit shortly follows another long standing members departure from the SPEED-LINK team, namely: Sebastian 'Nightwalker' Heinrich. The player also left the team in late November, stating a desire to enjoy real life without gaming.

The team is already being jostled into the background as another German team, Legendary, is setting the standard not only in Germany, but continentally. Whether the SPEED-LINK team can catch up is debatable, but they will have to manage without one of the most pragmatic and well loved players in the history of the Call of Duty franchise.

"After some conversations it was clear to me, I could not put up the time and effort anymore which are required for a professional gaming career. In my career I've always tried to not let my private life suffer. I still was devoid at some points, but the fun I had with gaming pulled me through those points. In the mean time my private life changed and I could not put up anymore time for the team."
