The World of Warcraft is increasing rapidly and the American PvP scene is very competitive, especially because of the bloodlust battlegroup (bg9). This addition means that SK Gaming will have a top team from the most competative ladder in the world to represent them in future tournaments. The team will be focusing mainly on 3vs3, and by having five players the team will be able to switch to whatever fits the current patch and team best.
For those of you who wants to know more about the players, a brief introduction can be found below.
Neil "Neilyo" Mosunic
Class: Rogue
Hey SK community! I am very excited to join this awesome community and contribute help contribute to its success by competing in WoW. So, a little bit about me, My name is Neil and I live in Southern California, specifically Orange County, yes the same OC from the TV show lol, I am 19 and I am about to complete my first semester at junior college. I have been playing WoW since around the time BWL was released and started with a rogue. Previous to that the only other game I played seriously was CS 1.6, I played in Cal – Main for a little bit before Cal – P was introduced and actually like competitive play in CS a lot more than WoW in that I believe one is rewarded more for skill in CS than almost any other game, that and the fact that I believe it to be one of the best competitive games around, it just so happens that the way things fell I had better competitive opportunities in WoW. I consider myself as good at 1.6 as I am at WoW and still do play it every now and then (I think source is garbage compared to 1.6). If my WoW name sounds familiar to some of you it is probably because I have made quite a few PvP videos, or if you would just like to know more about me you can view them here http://www.warcraftmovies.com/searchresult.php?keyword=Neilyo&tag my 4th – 9th videos are those from TBC with about a 97,000 download average between them. I was also for a while the highest arena rated rogue in the world during season 2 as mutilate (quite less powerful than maces at the time) with a highest average rating of 2476 (all 3 brackets added and divided by 3).
Thanks SK community for reading!
Zachary "Gumbot" Rankin
Class: Warlock
Hi, I am gumbot. My name is zac and I'm attending my second year of university, I am 19 years old. I've been playing games a lot more than I should be since I started playing the diablo1 demo. The experience truly changed me, the game had so many things I had never seen before and merged all my favorite aspects of many games. After that I was hooked onto the blizzard franchise and played each game pretty religiously. Over the years the games that I have most enjoyed have been the final fantasies, warcraftIII, quake and SSBM. I've been playing wow since day1 of its release and from the beginning my friends and I have stuck together looking for the best competition. We began on arthas where we made many lasting friendships as well as foes. Arthas in my view was just like tichondrius back in its prime, the pvp was incredibly competitive in WSG. I have quit wow a few times and each time I’ve rerolled onto a different server, I rerolled onto drakthul, then ysondre and finally onto auchindoun for the release of TBC. We rolled on auchindoun because it was a new server, released that day (jan16) thinking that if we rolled on a server already going we would get out geared in arena, and that wasn’t what we wanted, we wanted competition. Little did we know that on auchindoun people would suck and there wouldn’t be much of them that we xferred off it d1 of s2 to tichondrius. On tich I’ve just been trying to better myself each day by playing arena. I've made lots of friends over my time playing wow, I hope I can be yours too ^_^ (loljk).
Derrick "Pronne" Lopez
Class: Druid
Hey guys, my name is Pronne, or at least that’s the alias I go by on Wow. Some of you have probably seen me as Neilyo's druid in his videos lol. Some of you may have played me some time or another in the arena. I used to be on the Battlegroup 8 or also known as Shadowburn but about 5 months ago I transferred to the hyped up BG9 or Bloodlust.
Anyways my real name is Derrick, I live in the state of Virginia in the United States. I originally started playing video games when I was around the age of 13 where I got the Xbox console system. There after I got into a little FPS game called "Rainbow Six 3" and followed by its expansion "Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow" for a few years. This is where I got into the fun of competitive gaming and I absolutely loved it. Eventually quit the game and found out about WOW from some friends I played with on Rainbow Six.
At the beginning of my "Wow career" I rolled a Night elf warrior on the server named Detheroc under the name of Prone. Quit the game for about nine months and came back to roll a Tauren druid on the server Dark Iron under the name of Pronne. Made my home on Dark Iron doing pve up to Naxx and grinding out rank 13. Then transferred off to Mannoroth to finish on Saphiron and transferred back to Dark Iron. Soon after the expansion came out and season
one of arena began. Season one I finished first place in 2's with a warlock of the name Superpaul. Season 2 followed with Paul and me making a team together for every bracket. We were quite successful holding first place in our battlegroup in every bracket for a few weeks. Finishing first place in our battlegroup in season one allowed us to participate in the qualifying rounds for the CGS Blizzcon tournament. We did well and placed top eight and were given a ride to Blizzcon but unfortunately my partner was no where to be found so we forfeited.
Then I began reaching out to other players to remake teams with. This introduced me to Mattyo and Neilyo, who had done well for themselves in 2's and after seeing Secretive's success with Druid/Rogue/Mage we got first place in 3's and myself and Neilyo got first place in 2's. After about a week of making these teams we decided to move on and seek more competition considering it was so easy to get to the top of the battlegroup. So we ended up at the famous Battle group nine. And now Tichondrius is where I've been for the past 5 months just playing arenas day in and day out.
Matt "Mattyo" Martinez
Class: Mage
My name is Matt. I am 21, from Arizona (USA), and am graduating from the University of Arizona in May, with majors in economics and info systems.
I have been playing WoW since release, a hunter briefly, and mage ever since.
My main is Mattyo on the Tichondrius server, and I am fond of Rogue/Mage/Healer setups in 3s (disc priest is the strongest now, but RMD was fun last season), and 4 DPS 5v5 teams. My crew originally came from Dark Iron (in BG8), but now we enjoy the competition of BG9. We finished at 2440 last season in 3s, and our 5s was top 10 until someone farmed it down.
I play cookie cutter 17/0/44 frost, and am glad seeing mages are getting some buffs, but will probably remain in a similar frost spec even when icy veins is pushed out. I am also experienced with elemental, PoM, and deep fire specs. I also play Warlock, (Conexion on Dark Iron) and use SL/SL and UA specs, but prefer destruction.
Mike "Mykke" Harrison
Class: Priest
Hey this is Mike. I’ve played pretty much every class in wow at high end arena ratings. Towards the end of season 2 I began playing a spriest called Dramallama, our team hovered around 2400-2500 throughout the season. Recently, I began finishing off my hpriest, Mykke’s, gear. The priest is still a work in progress, but it’s good enough for my teammates to carry me to an attractive rating.
Welcome guys and good luck! Worth pointing out is that this doesn't affect SK's European WoW squad, although that team will be going trough some changes that will be announced shortly.

For the Horde!
btw : iam always looking for some good us hosts for some wc3 games :D
We know our EU team is good but the scene has been kind of inactive for a few months now due to WSVG closing, but now they will be back stronger than ever.
Hmmmm, a good(inactive) team you got, that has never been considered a top team in BG3, after three 3v3 tournaments where they got knocked out in the first rounds, you still consider em good? where is your god damn brain, the whole community laughs at you
Hmm yea, maybe i sound abit jealous, hmm maybe iam, its just so fucking retarded, that teams who are inactive and arent good at all anymore geting invites to that tournaments, loosing in the first rounds, and they are still supported by a sponsor, while there are other teams:
geting disqualified from european finals after geting 32-2 on the first day on event realm, constantly being (over months) #1 in 3v3 and 5v5 in their Battlegroup and NOT GETING ANY CHANCE TO PROOVE EMSELFS AT ALL
How fucking retarded is that "competitive wow"
whatever, enough whine now
and please, i'd appreciate it if you dont remove the comments that are considered as "flames"
First of all, SK's European team (Warders) have been the by far most dominant PvP team on Stormscale since the game was released. Although lately they have been very inactive and that's also why there will be changes in the team, still to be announced though. About them being knocked out early in the WSVG tournaments was something that we knew could happen since we only sent 3 players to those events - and were going to send more to the LA event which unfortunately got cancelled. However they prooved to be a top contender in my eyes atleast as they beat Hamchooks team (the hunter who finished 4th). Anyway, we have faith in the EU team since we know that they have been performing for several years.
About your strong love for GRAMMERPOLICE, who was the only fotm/2345 team with elemental shaman in the playoffs. I'm 100% sure that their amazing win record there was only because their setup was far more superior than all others, the other team being SK and they ended up on a first place with an enhancement shaman instead.
Of course GRAMMERPOLICE is a great bunch of PvP'ers although they're not quite as dominant as you seem to think. They didn't ACTUALLY end up on first place in any of those ladders, even though they "did" get it in 3vs3 by cheating. Yes, they cheated.
Super Heroes (Wonder, Cucha & Cherekee) beat them 4-1 in their premade matches, and the day after they took the #1 spot from GP after beating various top teams. GP however made a deal with movieLOL as both teams had top10 placements in the 2v2/3v3 brackets which lead to movieLOL getting #1 in 2vs2 and GP #1 in 3vs3 - after farming eachother for around 100 points at 4-5am the last 2 nights.
Does that make a worth team to sponsor in your eyes? Not mine atleast.
