even though i got basically no idea of streetfighter, i have to admit that this is incredible :)
this kinda shows what esport should be ( the atmosphere )
that one is such a classic.
What happened here fellas is:
Daigo parried Justin's special attack. Parrying is such a difficult move to do because for each attack you need to tap towards the attack at exactly the right time. Too early and you get pwned, too late and you get pwned. That's what makes this very impressive.
Before I saw this I didn't even know you could parry in street fighter.
Umehara Daigo is one of the top best Street Fighter players of all time. What he does there is called a Parry, and is incredibly hard to pull off, but what he does there is simply impossible. Yet again, this is Umehara Daigo, he should never be underestimated. Very nice finishing combo with a Jumping Parry -> Aerial Strong Kick -> Crouching Medium Kick -> Crouching Strong Punch -> Cancel -> Shippuu Jinrai Kyaku -> Win.
One of the best clips ever.
A parry is:
You need to press forwards, as in towards the opponent, in order to do it. You take a great risk by doing a parry since you leave yourself open to combos if you fail. The reaction time for each parry is less than .4 hundreds of a second before the opponent hits you, so now you realize how dang lucky/focused Daigo was here. Incredible reflexes... simply incredible.
Get a bit of the atmosphere!
or something like that.
2easy for keN ^^
