aTTaX, Fisch & faculty in action
Tonight will be the last Intel Friday Night Game and this time, it is in Stuttgart. It is the last IFNG due to only one Playday coming up to determine all participants for the offline finals which will be held from June 15th to 17th in Cologne. Three great fixtures are being played tonight with TRIAD vs faculty in Counter-Strike: Source, Freezer vs Fisch in Warcraft III and a-Losers vs aTTaX in Counter-Strike 1.6. Starting with Counter-Strike: Source, the finals participants are already known and both of the teams are attending them so this could be a small finals match. Faculty have one match less than aTTaX, but sharing the first spot so if they win this match, they will get back their first rank. TRIAD then is ranked 4th but also have some matches less than others and if they don't make any mistakes, they should be safe for the finals because they only lost two matches while the 5th already lost 6. The map will be de_train which is - just like in CS 1.6 - a map favoring the AWP. The AWP has got a boost again in Source so having a good sniper in the team can help you a lot here. In Warcraft III it's a little bit different, none of the players playing here have chances to attend the offline finals but Fisch had some good chances until now. Freezer can only get out of the relegation spots down there (11-14th) with winning this match while Fisch just wants to stay in the mid-field where he is now. Still the motivation should be good as every win gets them extra money and Freezer wants and needs to get out down there. An exciting match tonight between the Orc Fisch and Nightelf Freezer. It's almost the same situation in Counter-Strike 1.6 where the a-Losers could get out of the relegation spots with winning against aTTaX, but aTTaX is already qualified for the offline finals and is probably already reparing for them. With de_tuscan, the a-Losers could have a chance to win here as it is a map thats not played anywhere else but the ESL Pro Series even when it's comparable to de_cpl_mill. Alternate aTTaX is always in a good mood and they just won the German ESWC Qualifier so the motivation should be high for them to get another three points. On the other side, the a-Losers had to change their lineup during the season and it helped them. Still the team doesn't look that confident so far losing against a mixteam of pod on a LAN but as already said, the map could be in favor of them.
