End of Human Era
Some countries already did it and some will still have to do it, but this weekend it is time in Germany to determine their representatives for the Electronic Sports World Cup 2007, which will traditionally take place in Paris, France in July. In the year 2007, the best German players have qualified for the national final, which will be held in the popular MediaPark in Cologne. 16 players will meet in a double elimination bracket to determine the winners for two spots for the ESWC Grand Final Warcraft tournament and among them are well known names such as all time EPS dominator SK.Miou, undead player mouz.HasuObs and of course the winner of the last year SK.Fire. Unfortunately, the German qualifier is only for players that are older than 18 although the mainevent isn't, which makes some important names missing in the list, such as our very own youngsters SK.Fisch and SK.XlorD. Although we can expect a nice tournament with a lot of exciting games and a very entertaining coverage. We are looking forward to seeing if - for the very first time in the history of the German ESWC - someone else than a human player will manage to qualify. Good luck to all players! German ESWC Representatives history: 2003 - Dennis 'SK.TaKe' Gehlen 2004 - Daniel 'SK.Miou' Holthius & Thomas 'RavaGe@DkH' Baßler 2005 - Daniel 'SK.Miou' Holthius & Minh 'mouz.Spell' Nguyen 2006 - Andrew 'SK.Fire_de' Regendantz 2007 - Johannes 'mTw-hanf' Morlo & Dennis 'mouz.HasuObs' Schneider Up2date: Four players didn't attend the event - Miou, sheDu, ColdD and coru got freewins.
