Today is a big day for all Counter-Strike fans as now one of the most longed-for modifications, CS: ProMod Beta 1.
0 has finally been released.
After a long internal testing the CS: ProMod staff is proud to have the modification ready for consumers, by releasing the Beta 1.0 version. "We're so happy to finally be releasing CSP to the public. We hope you all enjoy it. Remember, everything about the game can be tweaking and changed," says Alex Garfield, the executive director of CS: ProMod project.
"As you can see, we'll soon be moving to CSPromod.com v2, which will allow bug reporting and community votes, among other new features."
The official hosting partners of CSP, Divo.net and Game-Hosting will be providing several CSP servers which are located in North-America and Europe. IP-addressess are readily available via the in-game server browser.
"Through our North American hosting and server partner, Divo.net, we've secured enough bandwidth to handle all global download requests," Garfield told.
Note: The modification is free and it requires the latest version of CS: Source.

Keep in mind that the modification was just released, so in some cases the FTP can be slow due to high traffic.

"you cant expect anything, ITS ONLY A BETA BOOHOOO"
It was not until after the first beta had been released that valve and the cs-team teamed up.
but it seems he doesnt know how to switch the sites :(
When the CS-team released first CS beta, they didn't have such a big community waiting for this game. Here, CSP staff have a huuuge community watching every move for 2 years. They were happy to release a first beta so you can SEE how it looks, to get an idea... DON'T THINK YOU'D PLAY PCW TONIGHT ... so stupid... IT IS A BETA ! THAT'S ALL...
#112 got it like always. ;)
It is NOT a MOD for css, it's a MOD for the source engine using CSS assets ;)
yes, i know, i know :P
-Added mp_restartgame 10 to server.cfg so public servers do not
stay in warmup mode (remove this if you're running a private server)
-Client side crashing (spawning in walls/floors) reduced
-Crouch slide removed
-Crouch hitboxes fixed
-Crouch jumping now occurs more smoothly
-Crouch viewheight fixed
-Crouching while moving on ladders is now entirely silent
-Netcode commands expanded
most fun part about the game tbh ^^
I have put the folder into my \Steamapps\Sourcemods\(cspromod)
Just there, and it doesnt appear on my Steam Games List?!
i dont undstand!
Please keep in mind that these people are trying to RECREATE a game not make a new modification. Its MUCH MUCH harder.
