And I'd like to add that the only thing holding CS1.6 back is greedy Valve. I really hope that in the future they will realize the potential of CS and sell those god damn airing rights. Maybe a little push from the community or the pro teams would do the trick. ^^
GO ESWC!
They moved because they had no choice, if you ask them I dont think a single one of them will say he/she prefers CSS.
And I dont say they lacked skill at 1.6, but CSS itself lacks skill (in comparison).
haha i know, i know.. it's called retro-spect. It's sometimes harder to let the old go to move to the new. Also money is a big motivation, i think a person like you knows all about that.
How ever, i do hope someday we will see more new maps in a CS Game.
"2008 will most likely be the best 1.6 year since 1999."
1.6 Started in 2004 or 2005 if i'm correct ;-)
Evan, are you mentionning the amount of money ESWC offered this year ? Because, even if the amount was lower than last year, in comparison to all the other great CS tourneys they don't really have to blush, do they ?
- WCG is still holding on to the same level but the prizes have always been a little lower.
- CPL is pretty much dead
- WSVG is dead
- WeG is dead.
Besides, it would be so much easier for them to switch to source...more requiring...better computers...more sponsors !
?
Who plays CS:Source is for its money that CGS put for it.
ESWC 2008 always in Paris or not?
Dunno, but i preffer quake4.
ESWC FTW :D
