No more WSVG
World Series of Video Games (WSVG) has just minutes ago announced the deplorable cancellation of the remaining circuit.
According to a official report by Games Media Properties, a company behind the WSVG, the reason of circuit cancellation is the scarce revenues that were calculated "to secure the production of the WSVG's large scale events and television programming".
Canceling this circuit consists the rest 2007 season stops that were planned to be organized in Los Angeles, London and Sweden, and not to mention the television shows with CBS Television.
"The World Series of Video Games launched with the goal of expanding interest and participation in competitive gaming. Over the course of two seasons, we have been honored by the strong support the community has shown in attending our festivals, and watching our competitions online and on television-- all in record-setting numbers. We have been grateful for the generous support provided by Intel and other sponsors since our inception," a snippet from WSVG's website.
On the 16th of February, 2006, the WSVG born into electronic sports industry, but now on 13th September 2007 it has been closed.

Furthermore, the competitive WoW scene will die out, with NO other organization holding WoW in it's tournaments. SK.WoW, Pandemic, etc will hardly be happy about this.
