Most participants in a video game league in a single season
The most gamers in apro videogame league for a single season of championships is 1,250,000 contestants, as reported by the World Cyber Games (WCG) for 2005. A total of 679 players, representing 67 countries, advanced to the Grand Final. The USA triumphed with two gold medals and one silver.
Largest Cash Prize won by an individual for a single game
On 19th October 2004, Meng "Rocketboy" Kang [China] was awarded $125,000 for defeating Jonathon "Fatal1ty" Wendel during the ACOM Fatal1ty Shootout at the Great Wall of China.
