The Steam Community Beta Released
The Steam website yesterday launched the (brand new) Steam Community Beta. If you have any friends that are playing some sort of PC Game or just want find some new ones with the same similar interests, the Steam Community could be the right place to do that. With some new features and options designed to make it easier to play games with friends, Steam Community is free and open to all users. Here is a short list of the new options available: Easily see your friends online Schedule group events Create a SteamID user profile Create and join groups Access Steam from within any game Track gameplay stats New chat rooms and game lobbies Voice chat in-game or out To find out more informations about how to take part in the beta you can visit The Valve Developer Community website.

Meanwhile, CS:S is still in a sorry state as far as the competitive aspects are concerned and 1.6 has been gagging for an update for the past few years.
I'm sure this will be a very lovely feature, but I think fixing your two flagship online games is a priority, isn't it Valve?
You know absolutely nothing about CSS.
I know the bulk of those 1.6 players despise the game for its lack of similarities to the original.
I know some of the most prestigious events we have are still using 1.6.
You're right, I don't know much about (either of them) it but I know there are indications everywhere that it still needs work.

like if you are ingame (1.6) and u do "shit tab"
and then press escape u walk silent w/ tab infront of u
if u hit shit again u can run again but the scoreboard is still on top but the friends thing looks nice
if u know what i mean..
