ID Gaming replaces G3x at ESWC
After the Brazil team G3nerationx revealed news about their participation cancellation to ESWC due to financial problems, the German team ID Gaming has got the replacement spot to represent their country at the Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC) event, which takes place between 5th - 8th July in Paris, France.
The ID Gaming roster features the following players:
Bodo "Bodo" Sbrzesny (Team-Captain)
Christopher "Fragmaster" Kolla
Hannes "Hanso" Dunkel
Christian "t0d1" Hackmann
Fatih "gob" Dayik
Here is what the team management told to us:
"We got a call today from the german ESWC organisation if we could replace g3x at the ESWC Grand Final. After talking to the players we agreed on playing the grandfinal. Because nooky is no longer in our lineup, he will be replaced by gob. Though we don't have the easiet group with wNv.cn and NoA, we still hope to reach the second groupstage and perfom well overall."
We wish the best of luck to ID Gaming! Stay tuned here at SK Gaming for further news regarding this event.

N2K was 3rd @ local qualifier and got invited because one team canceled. Denmark now has 3 slots.

So now, give me a damn argument why it is a bad idea to invite ID? You want 4 slots for sweden? Wanna talk about fairness...?
Dear admin, please don't delete posts that hurt the honour of SK ;D
In my opinion it was the ESWC.swe Staff who made the mistake as begrip, sk and fnatic were put into one group. SK surely deserves it to play on the biggest 1.6 event this year but don t blame us blame the eswc.swe qualifier staff that they can t go there! :)
cheers !
Grats to ID Gaming for the spot! It is according to ESWC rules.
And last but not least, and I think most are with me here, ESWC would have been even more interesting if SK also got a spot.
i felt it
it wouldnt only be interesting but obvious too. its only strange if SK didnt really get an invite.
but there are three better teams from Sweden (as the qualfier results say)
anyway SK.swe is better as ID
but rules are rated higher as all other things
:-)
ESWC chose regarding past years classement : top nations were denmark, brazil, sweden, south korea (dunno why but ...), germany, France.
they allready invited 1 danish and 1 swedish team, south korea was impossible (ofc) and then germany. ID finished third, they could come (even if it's a mix which had no chance to pass the group). If they couldn't it would have been the 3rd of France.
SK had NO chance to go at all : even if ESWC had chose to pick a swedish team, it would have been evilzone cuz they were 4th
I thought Logitech.fi would've been a much wiser choice, regardless of whatever nation rankings say.
gl IDGaming :)
