Cologne to host WCG 2008 **Update**

The committee of World Cyber Games has just announced the new host for next years Olympics of eSport, WCG 2008 event. World Cyber Games is the worlds biggest eSport centred tournament, and now in next year it arrives in the heart of Cologne, Germany. This years World Cyber Games event on the other hand will take place in Seattle, USA between 4th-7th October 2007. The venue of WCG 2008 has been announced, as it will take place in Cologne, Germany from 5th to 8th November 2008, where the best eSport players around the world will participate and fight for the gold medal with more than 20 000 spectators. This venue contract will be signed in a press conference on 13th March 2007, where the president and CEO of the International Cyber Marketing (ICM), Hyoung Seok Kim and the mayor of Cologne, Fritz Schramma takes part. ***Update*** The official announcement on the website of the town Cologne has been taken down. At the moment, it is not clear if the World Cyber Games 2008 will still take place in Germany. We will inform you as soon we know something new.
