well, money rules the world. Valve don't even support any HL1 Mod.
But due cs is the most played tactics-shooter in the world, they try to abuse it for their own advantage.
So they get cash for a game which never cost anything and which valve hasn't supported.
well... bad step into the future, when I also see the costs for games 50€ and more and then they start spam us with ads on walls ingame.

It's a beta, looks promising, in the beginning a bit weird, but people will get used to it. It will most likely improve 5 times, but only that time will tell.

i think right now that IF the advertising work out.. that tournaments like direcTV shit will turn 2 1.6 :)

Oke valve heres an idea:
Step 1: Leave source as it is, let the people play source if they want.
Step 2: Obviously a bigger part of all the steam players plays 1.6, if this wasnt true you guys would kill 1.6 long time ago, just give 1.6 a revamp -> give it some updates but not too much cause people like to play the game as it is.
Step 3: Cancel all the preparation for promod cause you will fail again like u did with Source.
Step 4: Instead of Trying to slowly kill 1.6 why not protect it? Give the TV rights back, and try to make it the biggest game in the world, i dont fucking get it. You make a game and you try to kill your OWN game.
Step 5: Kill yourselfs LEAVE 1.6 ALONE

I doubt fps will be a problem :p I reached the engine barrier of 1000 fps last night hehe.

#51, or not. The only thing VALVe 's updating is it's stockposition. No way - They ain't making it any easier for us or better. Nothing. Money for the investors, that's all it's about nowadays.
Soon it'll be: VALVe makes HLTV showing in broadcasts like GotFrag.TV pay them for the right to show the matches, they'll start to take a certain price for the rights to have them "CSTV -channels" etc. crap which only VALVe, the most fucked up company after Microsoft and the fucking assholes whom took down the old 1.5 system, could be responsible of.
And btw, this game isn't played because of crappy computers, it's because this's the one really boosting the meaning of: "It's Skillz that killz."
