EG Adds Grt, tr1p, and shaGuar
Shorty after Canada's most successful Counter-Strike 1.6 team removed Jimmy Lin, the Evil Geniuses made big moves. Corey "tr1p" Dodd, former in-game leader for compLexity, and Garett "Grt" Bambrough, of Pandemic and rSports, have signed on board. Bambrough recently won CEVO-P season 4, WSVG all-star fesitval, and came 4th at the WSVG finals. Dodd has won at the ESWC, WSVG ISC, Direct TV events, and many online league events. Robert "blackpanther" Tyndale will be taking a "brief hiatus" from Counter-Strike in the meantime, but he will remain an intricate part of the EG organization. This is all good news for the struggling Evil Geniuses, whose dominance in leagues online and off has been diminishing since the start of 2006. The year 2007 brings new hope to many teams. The only question left asking is, who is filling the shoes of these greats on the other end? Pandemic was prepared and reportedly did not offer Grt a better deal than EG due do chemistry problems, and back-up Adam "elusive" Messner will be stepping in for now. With this addition, EG's roster is as follows: Garett "Grt" Bambrough Corey "tr1p" Dodd Griffin "ShaGuar" Benger* Pasha "Red Dragon" Lari Matt "bl00dsh0t" Stevenson Ian Royle (sixth) *It has just been announced that Team 3D's Griffin "shaGuar" Benger will be joining the premier Canadian team's roster. Shaguar is not a particularily new face to EG since he normally plays with the team during WCG. Benger will be bumping Ian Royle to the back-up position and will play as a starter.
