SK.BeT.Sweet interviewed
Our Asian starplayer SK.BeT.Sweet won the China E-Sports Games Chengdu Tour a while ago. During that tournament, he went through till the final without much difficulty and beat WE.IGE.Lyn with 2:0. He accepted an interview when he was ready to fly back to Korea. He talked about his experience about CEG and his life in China. I translated the interview into English, despite there's always a lot of space for interpretation in chinese translations. I hope you will understand it and enjoy it. Thank you. You can find the interview below: Congratz on winning CEG Chengdu Tour. Why you are rushing back to Korea? There will be some offline tournaments in Korea in the near future while the next tournament in China will be in December. Furthermore, I've been in China for quite a while and I miss my family now, so I choose to go back. I will come back in early December to participate in CEG Xi'an Tour. You advanced to the final in CEG Beijing Tour but lost to Fly100% and you lost to him again in Guangzhou Tour. Now you eventually won him and the champion. What do you think about it? Fly100% is really a talented player. I didn't want to play Fly100% after Beijing Tour because I felt I couldn't perform well. I didn't do well in Guangzhou Tour and PGL and I felt sad. I don't know how I went through all these back in that time. After that, I won WSVG and I was more confident. I practised aiming at Orc after WSVG. There were many Korean players playing as well and I felt like playing at home. I was very happy when I won Fly100% and I felt I was on my way to winning the championship. I think winning it is the repay for my hard work. I hope Sky will take part in Xi'an Tour. I am looking forward to playing Sky again because he's now the reigning champion of WCG and many people think I am the champion because Sky didn't participate. I want to prove myself. Hope you and Sky will provide the audience with a great show. What do you think about Chinese players nowadays? Sky is the representative of Chinese players. I like him a lot and I also like playing with him because it's full of challenges. I am practising a lot aiming at him and I hope I can use it one day. I also knew xiaOt long before. He is very clever and a talented player. I think he always had a lack of practice before, but now he is practising seriously and he will surely get a good result. There're other excellent players like suhO. There're many new players coming out like Fly100% and TeD, too. On the contrary, there aren't that many new players in Korea. There're many Korean players coming to China. FoV and Check joined wNv and some European players such as ToD and SaSe also came to China. What do you think about foreign players in China? I think China will be the center of E-Sports in the future and that's why I come here. FoV and Check are my good friends and I am happy to see them joining wNv. wNv is one of the best teams in China and I wish them the best there. More and more players from around the world will see the good environment in China. Maybe China will have Warcraft leagues like Korean StarCraft leagues in the future. I think Warcraft's future will get brighter and brighter. You have been to China for quite a while. Can you tell us something about the whole trip? I didn't get used to it when I came here. Beijing's summer is especially hot and I didn't get used to Chinese food. My team found several places for me and I felt sorry for it. I didn't play well when I came here. I practised too much everyday and didn't sleep well, but I am fine with it now. I watch films, visit friends or hang out with them sometimes. I feel like home. China's network is not good sometimes and it affects practice's quality much. I am always practising. No paid, no gain. We all know you have lots of fans in China. Do you have anything to say? I want to say thank you to them. I watched my votes every day during PGL and I was deeply moved when I saw my votes were closed to many Chinese players. I felt very sorry to my fans when I lost. There are many fans writing to me and commenting in my blog. Sometimes fans will send me presents during tournaments. When I came here in early 2005, there was a fan who sent me a little statue to me and I like it very much. I have it with me all the time. I know some Chinese people don't like me. They think I come here to take the Chinese championship away as a Korean. I hope they don't misunderstand me. I come here as a professional player to join a Chinese team like our Korean player Park Ji Sung who joined Manchester United. I am playing for BeT in China. I hope everyone will not ask me to sing. Everyone asked me to sing when I was in Chongqing in PGL. Luckily there was Zacard with me and I sang. It would be embarassing if there was only me. I will keep practising with all your support and win more tournemants!
