Virtus.pro Wins WCG Russia
At the 2005 WCG Grand Finals in Singapore, Virtus.Pro placed fourth in the Counter-Strike: Source tournament. This year was different now that WCG decided to go with 1.6 as their official Counter-Strike version. Top teams such as Virtus, Begrip.Gaming, and forZe attended, but there could only be one. Virtus went through the double-elimination tournament without a loss and defeated Begrip in the finals by a score of 16:05. On the other hand, the KODE5 Russia winner seemed to underachieve as they could not live up to their latest performances. ForZe failed to pull out anything extravagant and finished at seventh place. The final standings: 1. Virtus.Pro 2. Begrip Gaming 3. -DA- 4. Seven.Pro 5. TRAP 6. GoodManagement 7. forZe 8. A-Gaming
