Recently Blizzard Entertainment held a competition for the map making population of Warcraft III, the task was to create a "sports map", i.
e. a map based around a professional sport. The winners of the tournament have recently been unveiled along with their map submissions available for download.
"We are proud to present the three winning maps as well as the honorable mentions for our sports map contest. There were several excellent submissions, and the judging was extremely tough, but we had a great time playing all of these and hope you had fun making them.
