Yet the uprising potential of the Spanish team x6tence keeps them on track even on large events. Today they've managed to win such a tournament, on their own territory, overcoming mYm's new Counter-Strike division in the grand final.
You've figured out by now that I'm talking about this year's GameGune tournament held in Bilbao, Spain, within the Euskal 14th encounter. Although the Spanish team was defeated in the upper bracket semi-final, by the enthusiastic Romanians from TeG, eventually they've made a comeback and surprised even the Swedes in the final.
The newly formed hoorai took fourth while the French players from WebOne placed themselves only on a average fifth place. Here's how the finals standings looked like:
1. x6tence
2. mYm
3. TeG
4. hoorai
5-6. WebOne
5-6. Banned-Brigade
7-8. VGA-Gaming
7-8. Speed-Link
x6tence took back at home a substantial prize money of 10.000 euros while second and third place took 6000 respectively 3000. Without further ado, I wish good luck to all the teams in future events and hope to catch up with the players for a couple of post-interviews. Keep checking back with SK Gaming.
