NiP, raw and mYm not going to the ISC *
It has been announced today that the Swedish team Ninjas in Pyjamas will not be attending the Intel Summer Championships (formerly the CPL Summer event) that will be taking place in a few days time.
The 5-8th placed team at ESWC have given several reasons for this decision, one of the key ones being that they wish not to play on TFT monitors at the event. They have also planned a few PR events in the coming months, which would have been affected if they decided to go to the ISC next weekend.
This is probably shocking news, but with a number of the world's best teams still planning on going to the ISC, it seems the event will definitely be one to look forward to.
We wish the best of luck to NiP in their next tournaments. And of course good luck to every team at the ISC next weekend!
*Update*
It has also been announced that Raw-Gaming will also not be participating in the ISC. However no information or reasons other than this statement have been given from the organisation:
"Raw Gaming Counterstrike will not attend this CPL Summer, more info regarding the team will be announced in a few days."
*Update*
Fragbite have been in contact with MeetYourMakers and have been told that the mYm.cs team will be following suit, and will not participate in the games as well - leaving a very small number of Swedish squads on list of registered teams for the event.
The reason behind mYm's decision is that Patrick "ScreaM" Roth apparently did not feel the team were fully prepared for the event, and thus decided it was best not to take part.
