WCG Asian Championships announced

After the huge success of the SEC, officially known as Samsung Euro Championships, the official World Cyber Games Comitee announced the first WCG Asian Championships today. According to its european archetype, the best players of all asian countries will meet in order to compete for fame and pricemoney in the official WCG games. The Asian Championships will take place from 12th to 13th August in Singapore. The location and the playersvillage will be the same like at WCG Grand Final 2005 and the Asian Championships will for sure become the most important tournament during the preparation of all asian players for the WCG Grand Final in Monza, Italy later this year.



Next to the official WCG games, there will be a DOTA Allstars tournament with the same pricemoney as the Counterstrike 1.6 tournament, which shows the important role of DOTA in Asia.

Singapore
Thailand
Vietnam
Unfortunately, there are no official reasons why South Korea is missing. We will try to keep you up2date about this issue.
