Several months ago, a self-proclaimed revolution in professional gaming took place with the launch of KODE5, which will mass gamers from more than twenty different countries in a series of regional events to find out the best gamers from all around the world. Then, the best teams from each country will be gathered in the final event, whose date and place is yet to announce.

After the launch of KODE5 Germany some weeks ago, KODE5 is pleased to officially announce the launch of KODE5 Taiwan, in cooperation with Aztec Internet Café.
Aztec, which is Taiwan’s largest Internet Café, will held the Taiwan Regional Qualifiers, fron the 27th to the 28th of May. There will be also online qualifiers, whose date are yet to announce. The official games for Taiwan's KODE5 event will be Counter-Strike: 1.6, Quake 4, and Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne.
"We are excited to be hosting the first KODE5 event in Taiwan,” said Jing Kang Tsai, Aztec's Owner and Operator. “KODE5 brings a level of professionalism to the e-sports scene here in Taiwan, and we are thrilled to be a part of it.”
The qualified teams will have the chance to participate in Taiwan's final event, which will take place from the 6th to the 10th of June at Asia’s largest IT-related trade show – Computex. With 1280+ exhibitors occupying over 2800 booths, Computex is by far the largest computer event in Asia .
KODE5, in co-operation with Foxconn, will also invite Taiwanese TV personalities as well as one of Taiwan’s top female gaming teams called Definite Sanctity, to challenge all comers.
“We are thrilled to be a part of the KODE5 Taiwan Finals at Computex,” notes Man Ling “Co*2” Tang of Team Definite Sanctity. “Gaming has always been our passion, and we can’t wait to show people how exhilarating gaming can be.”
“This year’s Computex is going to be the most exciting one yet,” says Christin Wang, Foxconn's Global Marketing Manager. “With Foxconn motherboards as the base for all KODE5 PCs, all contestants will enjoy a smooth and stable gaming experience. We invite everyone to come to the Foxconn booth to enjoy the KODE5 festivities.”
“Taiwan has always had a thriving gaming community,” says KODE5 Revolutionary-in-Command Lester Lau. “By cooperating with Taiwan’s largest Internet café chain, and holding the Taiwanese finals at Asia’s largest IT show, we hope to further spread the message of competitive gaming to the masses.”
