This made me decide to do an interview with him. wNv|jungle who is the youngest player of wNv-Gaming, has been performing very well in the ongoing WEG Masters. The questions of this interview covered aspects of his personal and gaming life. Enjoy!
Hi Jungle, for those who don’t know you very well, if you don’t mind I’d like to start this interview with some basic questions concerning your personal information.
wNv Jungle: OK.
How old are you?
wNv Jungle: I am 19 years old
What is your favorite sport?
wNv Jungle: football for sure.
What is your favorite movie?
wNv Jungle: WaterWorld and Ben-Hur
Who is your favorite person?
wNv Jungle: my mom.
Could you tell us any about your settings that a lot of fans want to know about such as your resolution in game, your sensitivity, etc?
wNv Jungle: I am using 800*600 resolution in game and I am using auto-size crosshair. My sensitivity is 2.3, I am using -noforcemparms-noforcemaccel commands, and my mousepad is steel s&s.
Where were you born?
wNv Jungle: I was born in Dujiangyan in SiChuan.
When did you start playing Counter-Strike?
wNv Jungle: It was in 2002 when I played LAN with my friends.
Are your parents still in Sichuan?
wNv Jungle: yes they are.
What do you parents think of your career as a pro gamer? Do you support you to be a pro gamer?
wNv Jungle: They didn’t at the beginning, but since they understood more about competitive gaming by the coverage of media and watching me play, and saw that I received more and more rewards and prizes from playing Counter-Strike, gradually they have started supporting me. Now they hope that I can play more matches in countries other than China, so I can have a chance to travel around the world.

Apart from playing Counter-Strike, do you play any other games?
wNv Jungle: I used to play StarCraft and WarCraft III, but now I play Counter-Strike only. Actually now I am staying away from computers except when I am playing Counter-Strike or chatting with my friends.
Do you remember the first Counter-Strike clan that you joined?
wNv Jungle: At the end of 2002, I joined a clan called “B.O.S”, which was built by some friends I knew from internet café. The name was came from a game called “Brother Of Steel”.
When did you obtain your first reward from playing Counter-Strike?
wNv Jungle: In June of 2003, I played Chengdu Qualifier of WCG China with my friends and we took the championship. As a result, I received 1600 RMB ($200) as reward. I gave most of the money to my mom, and kept some for myself for the later training expenses. My friends and I also had a meal in a restaurant to celebrate our victory.
What do you think of female gamers?
wNv Jungle: They create a beautiful view of Counter-Strike competition.

Could you tell us something about your teammates such as their play style or characters?
wNv Jungle: It is very hard to describe them with few words, all of them come from Mars :p
You are the idol of a lot of fans. Do you have your idol?
wNv Jungle: Jackie Chan
Do you have an idol in the Counter-Strike community?
wNv Jungle: HeatoN
Now a lot people call you as “Sniper of Asia”, even a world title for that. What do you think about this title they give it to you?
wNv Jungle: In my opinion, this indicates that they are positive about my performance as a sniper in the team. Actually there are many excellent snipers, such as fRod, vilden, Shaguar and lex. All of them have played an outstanding role in their team.

What’s your opinion on esport’s future?
wNv Jungle: I really hope that more and more media are going to focus on the development of esports, so people will understand more about competitive gaming, and we will get more support from public.
Now let’s talk about the ongoing WEG Masters, yesterday you guys won the match with 4Kings, but you lost the map of de_dust2, which, without a doubt, is your favorite. Any comments on it?
wNv Jungle: 4Kings played very well, plus we made many stupid mistakes.
What do you think of LaixiLaixi’s performance so far?

wNv Jungle: He’s been doing well. It is amazing how fast he integrated himself in the 4Kings team.
A lot of people were impressed by the awp battle between you and SK|vilden on de_dust2 of the opening match. What would you like to comment on it?
wNv Jungle: I did not think too much about it, I just wanted to win the match. Vilden is a great player. He played very well. Just because some luck was on my side.
wNv.gm is going to face challenges from Catch Gamer, what do you think of them?
wNv Jungle: Catch Gamer consisted of five giants, they are famous and they are capable to win any match. We must take them very serious to win that match.
Are you confident about winning the WEG Masters?
wNv Jungle: yes we are! But as we have seen, there is no weak team in this competition. Therefore we must give 100% attention to every match.
Up to date, who has impressed you most?
wNv Jungle: Lex from Virtus.pro and fRod from coL. We talk with each other quite often, although my English is not very good. They have been very friendly to us.
which team or teams have impressed you most?
wNv Jungle: coL has been doing very well, but SK.swe and Virtus.pro are also very strong.
