EverLAN concluded today with Team 3D coming out on top, winning $10,000.
Many questions were answered today, mainly how would Team3D perform against top Counter-Strike Source teams. During their victory at WCG 2005, which used CS:S, Team 3D played against teams whose main game was 1.6.
Everyone was looking forward to the finals match between the best North American Counter-Strike 1.6 team, Team 3D, and the best Counter-Strike Source team, PowersGaming. Earlier in the tournament, 3D took down PG on de_nuke 16-9. In an exciting turn of events, it was not an easy victory for 3D, considering they lost the first map by a fairly large margin and barely took the second map.
Match one on de_dust2:
PowersGaming [16:06] Team 3D
Match two on de_inferno:
Team 3D [16:12] PowersGaming
- Team 3D's Roster: Mike "method" So, Sal "volcano" Garozzo, Ron "rambo" Kim, Griffin "shaGuar" Benger, Josh "dominator" Sievers
- PowersGaming's Roster: Moe "moe" Assad, Laurent "warmach1ne" Keoula, Trevor "p0s" Randolph, Yazan "clown" Ammari, and John "clark" Clark
The final results are as follows:
1st - Team 3D - $10,000
2nd - PowersGaming - $5,000
3rd - TEoS - $2,000
4th - upper - $1,000
5th-8th - Hyper! - $500
5th-8th - Verge - $500
5th-8th - +} - $500
5th-8th - g3 - $500
9th-12th - TAG - $250
9th-12th - Forbidd - $250
9th-12th - CB7 - $250
9th-12th - EFG - $250
Congratulations to Team 3D!

congratz 3D!
gj Team3D, but coL can still take u ;)
gg 3D ;) i dont understand why they moved source still.. I thought all progamers hate source x)
10000$ is still an amazing prize for an event like EVERlan, so it's always interesting for teams like Team3D to get some cash :) but they will always practice for cs1.6 events, like CPL Summer 2006 (read the gotfrag interview about shaGuar and the everlan)
yeah they said they will continue 1.6 mainly from now on
i don't care, no gg =)
Wise up, no pro plays 1.6 cos they love it, they play it cos thats where the money is at. Im sure 3D and other 1.6 teams will continue to enter source tourneys if the location and the money is good
10.000$ ^^
It's sad to be punk'd by some multigaming-orga.
schade :E
3D is just the best team, so they won.
Ergo: Source IS a competition game.
Congrats to Team 3D for the win.
who is powersgaming ??
If you don't like source don't reply to a source news post, its not difficult.
