Lunatic-Hai, the runner-up of CPL winter 2005, was interviewed by SK-Gaming.
com yesterday. This time the interviewee we chose were not a Lunatic-Hai player, however nobody doubts his key position in the team, and he is Garf1eld who is the manager of Lunatic-Hai. In this interview, apart from commenting on CPL winter 2005, Garf1eld also told us their future plans in 2006. Enjoy!
Hi Garf1eld, first congratulations to you guys for amazing performance in CPL winter 2005! Could we start with a brief introduction of you?
Lunatic-Hai|Garf1eld:My name is Jung,Hui-Chul and I'm the manager of Lunatic-Hai. I'm 20 and I currently live in korea because that my study in university will begin in March 2006.
How long have you been with Lunatic-Hai's players?
Lunatic-Hai|Garf1eld:I am working for Lunatic-Hai since I moved from Germany to Korea five months ago. But I have known Lunatic-Hai|mal for 4 years. We were in FvW, Esu etc., and he was also the person who asked me to work for Lunatic-Hai. He is the lunatic in Lunatic-Hai:p
Is there anything that's most impressed you since you were a part of Luantic-Hai?
Lunatic-Hai|Garf1eld:Yes, it is their attitude towards competitive gaming that has most impressed me. They keep working hard to remain the team as one of the best in the world. Sometimes I don't really care If we lose a single round in a game, but they do. And that's one of many reasons why I am so proud to be part of them. Actually we are more like a family, therefore being a part of Lunatic-Hai, you are a part of a family.
What's your impression of CPL winter 2005?
Lunatic-Hai|Garf1eld:Well,I loved to be in Dallas and I am looking forward to go to the Winter Event in 2006. I met many nice people, and I was impressed by many teams and people that praised us for performing greatly. It was a great experience. The only bad thing in Dallas was that we couldn't get any beer after midnight.
How do you think of the final match between Luantic-Hai and SK.swe in CPL winter 2005?
Lunatic-Hai|Garf1eld:I formerly worked for SK, so to a certain extent it was a very special match for me. We did a great job at the CPL Event and I think we have showed the world that Koreans are also good at FPS-Games. Although we finally lost to SK.swe, who are without a doubt the best in the world, there is no disappointment at all. It was not individual skills but teamplay that caused the loss.
There is a rumor about the possible merger of Lunatic-Hai and Project_Kr, is it true?
Lunatic-Hai|Garf1eld:No, it is not true. There will be some big changes in both teams, but we won't merger. Project_kr is a very good team. I hope that they will do well in 2006.
Could you tell us which event(s) you guys will attend next?
Lunatic-Hai|Garf1eld:We are looking forward to attend the coming WEG2006, ESWC2006, CPL World Series, CPL Summer & Winter Events. WEG2006 could be our next event, but that is not for sure.
Which team is the one that you guys are eager to challenge next?
Lunatic-Hai|Garf1eld:There are a lot of great teams out there, and so there is not a "special" team which we want to beat. But well, I think a rematch against SK would be great. I am also expecting to see wNv's playing in upcoming ESWC2006.
Thanks for your time! Are there other words for the readers?
Lunatic-Hai|Garf1eld:I want to thank all our fans, who have been supporting and helping us all along. Without them we could not achieve all of victories. Thanks to Aijoarashop.com, Parcoshop and Revolution PC-Café. Furthermore, special thank to Lavega-Gaming for the practice of playing with us (Thank God! The CPL removed fire and strike of the pool). Hopefully our page will launch in January 2006. Jo gum? ?
